(CNS) - The La Mesa Police Department will resume parking regulation enforcement citywide starting the second week of November.La Mesa suspended the issuing of parking tickets on March 17 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.Starting Monday, Nov. 9, La Mesa police will issue written citations for vehicles parked in violation of posted street sweeping routes, metered parking restrictions, curb time limits, commercial zones and 72-hour parking limits.The city of San Diego temporarily suspended parking enforcement on March 16, limiting enforcement to holiday or Sunday regulations only. San Diego resumed parking regulation enforcement citywide on Oct. 15. 686

LA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) - Two women on vacation in San Diego had their trip ruined when thieves stole all of their luggage.Vivia Bradshaw and Yvonne Simpson live in Florida and New York. For the last 15 years, they've made regular trips to San Diego."We’re always coming back, it is so beautiful, we love the weather especially," says Simpson. "Everything's so beautiful. We've never had a terrible experience coming here before."But their trip this past week turn a turn for the worse on Saturday, while they were visiting with a friend in La Mesa.Simpson and Bradshaw say they had put their luggage in their friend's car at the Woodland Terrace Apartments while they visited his home."When we were ready to leave, I came back to the car and saw something a little strange," says Simpson. "I asked him, was that open? And he saw right away that someone had entered the car. I said check the trunk. He did, all our suitcases were gone. Every last piece. Three of them!"Thieves took all of their clothes, money, gift cards, jewelry, shoes, purses and personal items."Everything's gone," says Simpson. "We know they're replaceable, but it's the sentiment."The two women have been able to buy new clothes and necessities. Now they're trying to make the most out of their week-long trip. They've filed a police report as well. La Mesa Police says they hope surveillance footage can help identify a suspect.Meanwhile, Bradshaw and Simpson have a warning for others."Just be careful," says Bradshaw. LEMON GROVE, Calif. (KGTV) – An investigation was launched after at least one bullet struck a car traveling on state Route 94 in the Lemon Grove area.The California Highway Patrol said the incident was reported at around 3:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of SR-94, near College Avenue.According to CHP officials, the 63-year-old driver of a Cadillac CTS said he noticed a black or dark-colored sedan driving behind him for several miles prior to the gunfire.The Cadillac’s driver said the vehicle pulled up to his side and then shots were fired, shattering the driver’s side rear window.The vehicle continued on eastbound SR-94 as the Cadillac pulled over. ABC 10News learned the driver called 911 after the bullet came through the rear driver side window and lodged in the passenger side pillar.The driver was not injured.CHP shut down the right two lanes of the SR-94 from Lemon Grove to Federal Blvd for a few hours as part of their investigation. 956

LAS VEGAS — President Donald Trump's campaign has sued the state of Nevada over a new bill that expands mail-in voting in the state for the 2020 general elections.Assembly Bill 4, which was signed into law on Monday during Nevada's special session, specifies that election officials will send all active registered voters a mail-in ballot if there is a statewide emergency or disaster directive.The state's Republican Party believes Nevada Gov. Legendary National Football League head coach Mike Ditka does not approve of athletes who kneel during the national anthem, according to multiple news outlets.Last week, Ditka recently became the chairman and owner of the X League, which is a women's football league. On Sunday, Ditka was asked by TMZ Sports during an interview about his new football league about his stance on athletes that kneel during the national anthem, USA Today reported.The former Chicago Bears coach told the reporter that if they can't respect the anthem, then they should "get the hell out of the country.""That's the way I feel," Ditka said in the TMZ Sports interview.
