The company claimed in a press release it’s exploring several options to “maximize shareholder value.”Several of the options include the sale of the company or a previously announced plan to increase its leverage. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — It's a new season with new threads for the San Diego Padres.The Padres unveiled new home and away sets of uniforms sporting the team's classic brown colors during a fashion show-style event at Petco Park Saturday.Third baseman Manny Machado, first baseman Eric Hosmer, and shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. were on hand to model the new look the Friars take into 2020. Two styles of the new uniforms featured a return to pinstripes, one on a white base reading "Padres" and the other on dark gray reading "San Diego." SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Jurors were again deadlocked in the retrial of the man accused of shooting two people outside of a Metallica concert in downtown San Diego in 2017.In July, 37-year-old Ray Pitoau had his first trial and was found guilty of three firearm charges, including felon in possession of a gun. But jurors were deadlocked when it came to charging him with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.On Friday a jury, again, could not reach a verdict on the assault charges against Pitoau.RELATED: 526

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — It’s decision time for the San Diego Padres, who are trying to choose the right candidate to replace fired manager Andy Green.Widespread reports, confirmed by 10News, indicate the Padres have narrowed their search to two very different candidates.The first is 38-year-old Jayce Tingler, who has worked in a variety of coaching and front office roles with the Texas Rangers, but has no Major League managerial experience.RELATED: Padres' Yates wins Baseball Digest's top reliever awardThe second is 67-year-old Ron Washington, who managed the Texas Rangers to back-to-back World Series appearances in 2010 and 2011, before stepping down in 2014. He's currently the 3rd base coach for the Atlanta Braves.The Padres have previously stated a preference for an experienced manager, which could give Washington the edge. But the decision largely rests on the shoulders of general manager A.J. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- In anticipation of its members returning, 24 Hour Fitness locations around San Diego County have made several changes that will allow them to follow county health guidelines and keep their doors open.Under the state’s tiered system for businesses, 24 Hour Fitness is among those able to resume indoor operations, but with specific modifications in place.The fitness centers are now requiring reservations for 90-minute workout sessions, and each location can only operate at 10 percent capacity, so they have to keep a close eye on how many people are inside of the building.While reservations will not be required for clubs in San Diego County, each club in the county will be capped at a 10 percent capacity.Jeremy Franke, Regional Vice President of 24 Hour Fitness, said, “We have a check-in system where we can check at any time and know how many people are in the club. And when we reach capacity, our system flags and says we’re at capacity. And we’ll have the next person wait. Like retail stores, we let one in and one out if we get full.”Once inside the gym, social distancing is a must. There are signs and markers that remind members about staying six feet apart.24 Hour Fitness has also stepped up with cleaning and disinfecting, shutting everything down for 30-minute periods throughout the day to do so.Some things will remain closed, such as spas, saunas, pools, and basketball courts. Drinking fountains won’t be available either.Management also says each of their 25 locations in San Diego County will be very strict when it comes to enforcing wearing facial coverings.Right now, group classes are not yet available, but 24 Hour Fitness is working on bringing those back.Hours of operations have also changed temporarily, with clubs operating from 5 a.m.-9 p.m. 1806
