All 5,000 Chase Bank locations nationally are either reducing hours or closing in an effort to reduce the spread of coronavirus. Amid the NHL, NBA, MLB, college basketball, XFL, MLS, PGA Tour and NASCAR suspending operations due to the spread of coronavirus, one pro sports league is pushing forward: The Professional Bowlers Association. This weekend is the tour's PBA World Championship, which is being held in Las Vegas. Although the competition will go on this weekend, it is doing so under a heavily-modified schedule. The event was originally slated to air next Wednesday. Instead, the finals will air live Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET on FS1. The championship will also be played without spectator, except for family and tour officials. International travel restrictions that may impact a number of World Series competitors also played a role in PBA’s decisions," the PBA said. A Tulsa, Oklahoma, woman is urging brides to use more caution when selecting a wedding photographer than she did. "I was planning this since I was a little girl and it turned out just the way I wanted it and I have no pictures," Natalie Barney said. Barney was on a tight budget for her big day. "I just wanted a small wedding, but it had to be big enough for everyone to see my pink dress," Barney said.When she saw an advertisement for an "affordable" photographer on Facebook, she clicked on it. The bride-to-be messaged April Keller, owner of Queen Bee Photography - Stillwater, who she said quoted her 0 for 100 photos. "I saw her pictures on Facebook and they looked good," Barney said. It was a photo of a bride in her wedding dress surrounded by her bridesmaid in pink dresses that caught her eye. Queen Bee's post said "Wedding Samples" and showed several other stunning wedding photos. Barney said she was worried about her photos from that moment on. "She messaged me [after the wedding] and asked if I could get the pictures my 10-year old niece took so she could edit those," Barney said. Barney was sent a handful of pictures through Facebook messenger but not near the 100 she paid for. "There are only three that are good pictures," the bride said. "They are pictures that I could have taken." In Facebook messages provided by Barney, Keller admits the pictures did not turn out well. It was heartbreaking news for the bride because she had family fly in from out of state for the occasion.As a consolation, Barney said Keller offered her a free family photo shoot with her children and grandchildren. On the day of the shoot, about 10 members of Barney's family went to the location they chose in coordinating outfits, but Keller did not show up. "I didn't think I could be more hurt than I was after my wedding and that happened and then I just gave up," Barney said. Keller said over the phone that her husband had health issues after Barney's wedding. She also said she is not operating Queen Bee Photography any more. Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, many schools are closing. Teachers across the country are getting creative, even taking their classrooms remote. Many schools across the country have canceled classes, but not all. Some have asked students to take their learning into their homes. One Colorado charter school is making it all happen and finding some benefits in the process. Math teacher Marilyn Hartzell has turned her kitchen into an at-home classroom.“Our group of schools decided that we would try to teach online,” Hartzell said.The school sent students home with Chrome Books in order to continue their education online.Aside from the location, the school day looks very much the same. Instead of classrooms, students are jumping from one Google chat class to the next.“I think for right now, because this is super new, the engagement is super high,” Hartzell said.There are some benefits about teaching remote.“It takes a lot longer to set up these assignments online, but in the end, the grading part and the ability to analyze the skills and what the kids are understanding is a lot faster,” Hartzell said.With technology comes challenges. Hartzell says it’s hard to ask students to fix their wifi. But, if technology fails all together, she has pre-recorded lessons and posted them on YouTube.While class for many students around the country has been postponed, Hartzell and her students are embracing remote school.“We are anticipating we probably won’t come back this school year,” she said.However, Hartzell wants everyone to keep in mind that although technology is a great tool, it doesn’t teach children. 1627
