CHANGSHA, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has called for comprehensive prevention and treatment measures to wipe out schistosomiasis, a parasitic disease commonly known as snail fever.
In a written instruction to the meeting, Li said coordinating resources between medical colleges and hospitals is an effective training method.
Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), presided over the opening meeting of the session, which runs from Monday to Sunday.
Wang pointed out that the embargo and sanctions against Cuba are "more unreasonable than ever before," since the recovery of the world economy is weak and the international community is severely challenged by a range of crises in the domains of food, energy and climate change at this moment.
