CASTAWAY CAY, BAHAMAS (WPTV) — Disney is responding after it was revealed several Disney Cruise Line employees remained on the company's private island in the Bahamas as Hurricane Dorian made landfall Sunday.Disney said the employees remained on Castaway Cay as the hurricane swept through Great Abaco and later made landfall in Grand Bahama.Castaway Cay is about 11 miles away from South Abaco.In a statement, Disney Cruise said they are in contact with the island to make sure their crew is taken care of during the storm."Castaway Cay remains south of the more significant weather and is currently experiencing tropical storm force winds, which based on the current forecast, are expected for the next several hours before gradually diminishing," Disney Cruise said in part. DETROIT — A Detroit Police Department officer is at the center of an internal investigation after he showed up under the influence of alcohol to training in Lansing, Michigan, Detroit Police Chief James Craig told reporters Friday. Michigan State Police say it was discovered after the officer volunteered to be part of a demonstration on breathalyzer training.The incident comes a week after another officer, who was still in her probationary period, was arrested for allegedly selling drugs. The officer at the training facility in Lansing blew a .08, said Craig. The officer was not arrested because he was not armed at the time and did not drive to the training session, according to Michigan State Police. The matter was turned over to Detroit police.
