BEIJING, April 10 (Xinhua) -- A senior Communist Party of China (CPC) leader on Monday called for better publicity work ahead of the 19th CPC National Congress, slated for the second half of the year.

The platform will provide PPP consulting, planning, bidding and supervision services for local governments, to facilitate private capital to join PPP projects, said Ding Huamei, president of the exchange.

Chen Deming, president of the Chinese mainland-based Association for Relations across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS), said that Koo Cheng-yun had played an exemplary role in boosting cross-Strait economic ties.

However, the campaign against air pollution cannot be completed in a short period of two or three years, but will need a relatively long time, he added.

The measures to be adopted include: further streamlining of business registration; negative list-based market access with a focus on compliance oversight; a level playing field for non-local businesses with fair competition and bans on discretionary charges or subsidiaries; and highlighting regulation and enforcement of food and drug safety as well as other fields that are crucial to public safety and security. The government also needs to improve regulatory innovation through the Internet Plus Mode and big data, among other means.
