COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in Columbus, Ohio, have released police body camera footage showing the moments early Tuesday when an officer on a nonemergency call fatally shot a Black man who was holding a cellphone as he emerged from a garage.Warning: the video in this story is graphic in nature and contains scenes that some may find disturbing.The video released Wednesday shows the Columbus officer approaching an open garage and the man walking along a car out of the garage.The man, identified as Andre' Maurice Hill, is holding up the phone in his left hand.The officer fires and Hill drops to the ground.The officer is then heard yelling at Hill to move his hands to the side and to roll over.The officer, Adam Coy, and a female officer responded to a call from the neighborhood that reported a vehicle running in the street on and off for an extended period of time, according to the Columbus Dispatch.The officers did not have their body cameras turned on at the time of the shooting, however the Columbus Dispatch reports the cameras have a 60-second "look back" feature that captures 60-seconds of video, no audio, before a camera is turned on. The video released Thursday indicates the officer turned on the body camera immediately after the shooting.Columbus police confirm Coy has been relieved of duty as of Tuesday afternoon. 1356

Coca-Cola has introduced a touch-free soda machine amid the coronavirus pandemic.In a press release, the company launched the Coca-Cola Freestyle dispenser, which they say is contactless.“All Coca-Cola beverage dispensers are safe with recommended care and cleaning,” said Chris Hellmann, vice president, and general manager, Coca-Cola Freestyle in the release. “But given these uncertain times, people may prefer a touchless fountain experience. It has been exciting to see our team continuing to innovate – mostly from home – to meet the evolving needs of customers and consumers. Our partners are doing everything they can to maintain a safe and hygienic dining environment, and we’re doing all we can to ensure they can continue to pour the beverages their guests desire on a platform they love.”The soda fountain will pour drinks out for customers from their phones without them having to create an account or download an app. All they will have to do is scan a QR code on their phone.“Holding your camera up to the display auto-scans a QR code on the display, which immediately connects to the cloud and brings the Coca-Cola Freestyle user interface to your phone,” explained Michael Connor, chief architect, Coca-Cola Freestyle in the release. “You then select from the full menu of brands and flavors – and pour. CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) — Thousands of sailors left Naval Air Base Coronado Friday afternoon, to embark on a seven-month deployment to the Indo-Pacific Region. Its colossal presence is intimidating. Impressive. Indisputable.“We comprise the most mobile, most capable, and most lethal fighting force on the entire planet,” Captain Brett Crozier, Commanding Officer of the USS Theodore Roosevelt, said. But the strength of the ship isn’t in the hardware. It’s in the 6,000 sailors who will call it home for the next seven months. Friday is their farewell to their families. “Already I’ve been crying like all day,” Stephanie Hastings said. The young mother of two is saying goodbye to her husband, Christopher, for the first time. This is the 26-year-old’s first deployment. Emotions overcome her, even though her toddlers do not understand. “He [three-year-old Mason] doesn’t really know what’s going on. He said he wants to go to Target today. He doesn’t want to come here,” Hastings laughed. But long-time military wife Fama Nyassi has no tears. She and her two daughters are sending off their father, Ousom, for the fifth time. “Daddy is not around, but Mommy is here. I will take care of everything!” Nyassi said. For the next seven months, the sailors will travel to the Indo-Pacific region to provide maritime security and regional safety. For EMC Nyassi, it’s comforting to know that his wife has got his back at home. “I can’t thank her enough. She’s the rock of the family. I can’t thank her enough,” EMC Nyassi said. Those left behind say their strength comes from their love for their spouse and for their country. “I tell him all the time that I am really proud,” Hastings said of her husband. “So proud of him. He’s the hero of the family,” Nyassi said of her husband. The last time the USS Roosevelt left for a seven-month deployment was to support “Operations Inherent Resolve” and “Freedom’s Sentinel” between October 2017 and May 2018. CVS hears the Amazon footsteps -- and the pharmacy giant is wasting no time trying to get ahead of any Jeff Bezos plan to disrupt the drug store business the way that he has the rest of retail.CVS said Monday that it plans to offer next day delivery of prescription drugs nationwide in 2018. In some urban markets, CVS will even deliver on the same day.A program to deliver both medications and a select offering of other CVS products from the front of the store will begin in Manhattan on December 4.CVS CEO Larry Merlo made the announcements during the company's earnings conference call with analysts.The news comes just a few weeks after reports surfaced that Amazon had received wholesale pharmacy licenses in a dozen states.That move would potentially allow Amazon to sell prescription medications online.The speculation caused the shares of CVS and rival Walgreens to fall, as did pharmacy benefits manager company Express Scripts, a competitor of the CVS-owned PBM Caremark.The stocks of drug distributors Cardinal Health, AmerisourceBergen and McKesson all fell too.This is because investors are worried that Amazon, which is already changing the dynamics of the grocery business thanks to its acquisition of Whole Foods, may look to do the same for drug stores.But Merlo said during the call with analysts Monday that he still sees Amazon as more of a potential ally than threat."You would never close the door on any type of partnership," Merlo said, when asked by an analyst about possibly working with Amazon.Still, CVS seems to recognize that the health care landscape is changing rapidly, and it needs to adjust. There have even been recent rumors that CVS may look to buy health insurer Aetna.Aetna scrapped plans to merge with rival Humana earlier this year due to intense regulatory scrutiny.
