BEIJING, July 25 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Health issued a circular on Wednesday calling for preventive measures to ensure the safety of food and drinking water, as epidemics can easily break out after flooding.
The standards will be set up by the end of 2015. According to the plan of setting up national standards of food safety, China will further improve the management mechanism of food safety and establish a normative and transparent working model.
Yi also criticized the policy-making mechanism in the eurozone, saying long process of discussion makes the institution cannot take necessary measures on time during the crises. He said uncertainty damaged investors' confidence.
However, there is still a long way to go for China to become truly city-based, it argued, as the majority of migrant workers and farmers-turned-city dwellers find it hard to blend into urban life, and most Chinese cities lack distinguished features and cultures.
