(KGTV) — Mexican authorities say they have located the remains of a Los Angeles firefighter who disappeared near his Rosarito home more than two months ago.Frank Aguilar, a 20-year veteran of the Los Angeles Fire Department, was last seen after heading to his second home in Baja, California, San Diego family members told ABC 10News in September.Mexican authorities reported that human remains were recently discovered, identified as Aquilar.RELATED:LA firefighter possibly kidnapped from Rosarito condo, local family speaks outRearrests made in connection to firefighter who went missing in Baja"Our Department was notified this afternoon that authorities in Mexico determined that human remains recently found there are those of LAFD Firefighter/Paramedic Francisco Aguilar. On behalf of the men and women of the LAFD, we send our deepest condolences to Firefighter Aguilar's family and we stand ready to assist them in the days to come," a statement from LAFD Chief Ralph Terrazas read.Last month, two people identified only as Santos "N" and Fanny "N" arrested in connection with Aquilar's disappearance. Aquilar's family told ABC 10News that they believed the female suspect may have been dating the firefighter. Officials have only said that it may have been a violent kidnapping setup. The suspects were found in possession of Aguilar’s bank cards which had been used across Baja. There were also reports that Aquilar's condo had been ransacked, his vehicles were missing, and the scene had been captured on Ring video. 1608
A 12-year old Brooklyn girl is uplifting audiences and making history as one of the youngest composers for the New York Philharmonic.Grace Moore is a seventh-grade student at Poly Prep in Dyker Heights. She’s also soaring to new heights with her passion for classical music.Moore describes herself as quiet and shy, but when it comes to her music, she is powerful. In October, Moore had a world premiere of a piece she created for the NY Philharmonic. It was the music she composed.Moore is a participant of the New York Philharmonic’s Very Young Composers program— a program that teaches people as young as eight to create music, they have the some of best musicians in the world perform it.Moore’s talent is extraordinary.Her love of music started at the age of two when her mom bought her a piano. (KGTV) -- The first major storm of the season moved into San Diego County Friday and is expected to bring cool and rainy weather to the region.According to the National Weather Service, the storm could dump as much as an inch of rain along the coast.
