Hawaii has asked all visitors to stay away for 30-days. Alaska wants anyone entering the state from the “outside” to self-quarantine for 14 days. The governor of Texas is now ordering people coming in from New York City or New Orleans to self-quarantine for 14 days. Florida’s governor asked people traveling in from New York – or who have in the past three weeks—as well as Louisiana, to also self-quarantine. “This is important because, after all the hard work, we don’t want it to now to get seeded, as people flee kind of the ‘hot zone,’” said Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Florida. Then, the user sits and talks to a councilor about personal issues, maybe what is leading to their use, and also about the idea of going to rehab. Hundreds of users who have visited The Works, have gone to rehab. About 1,000 people have overdosed but every one of those lives were saved. In fact, not a single safe injection site around the world has reported an overdose death in its facility and overdoses in the respective surrounding communities have gone down, in some cases by 30%. “Look no one involved with Safehouse, myself included, says this is the answer to the opioid crisis. This is the answer to one small segment of the opioid crisis,” said Rendell. A 4.9-magnitude earthquake was reported near Ridgecrest, California, on Friday morning -- one week after a 7.1-magnitude temblor struck Southern California, the US Geological Survey said.The region was originally hit on July 4 with a 6.4 earthquake, followed by a 7.1-magnitude quake the following day.The latest moderate earthquake briefly rattled CNN's Los Angeles bureau.Last week's major earthquake was centered 11 miles northeast of Ridgecrest, the USGS said.
