A man picking up passersby flagging him and his buggy down for a ride is calling his service "Amish Uber."The service is not affiliated with the actual Uber ride-sharing service, but it has been popular in the town of Colon, Michigan, where driver Timothy Hochstedler is using a horse and buggy to cart folks around.Hochstedler has a sign on his buggy that says each ride is and he was offering rides during the town's recent  81st annual Abbott's Magic Get Together festival.WWMT television station talked with people who paid for rises in the buggy, and they said the experience was unique and fun. 626

A Las Vegas family watched in horror from a Florida hotel room as their home was broken into Friday.From 2,000 miles away, Kenneth Kochman woke up to a heart-stopping notification on his phone."We got our Ring camera system up and we actually saw these guys burglarize our home live," says Kochman.From their hotel room in Orlando, Kenneth and his fiancée Melinda Piccirilli watched in disbelief as two men walked around the backyard of their home.The video clearly shows one of the burglars using a rod to knock down the surveillance camera just before breaking in.The family was concerned that the crooks were inside and may have harmed their three Chihuahuas."I knew they were trapped in a little area so if they wanted to get them or take them, or [possibly] get mad at them, take them or hurt them; you don't know what people are going to do," Piccirilli said.The two got back to Las Vegas on Sunday – thankful to find their dogs unharmed. Melinda immediately jumped on social media to spread the word of what happened.Her Facebook post quickly went viral in her Las Vegas community."Last night it was 40,000 views and just a few minutes ago it was 65,000 views," says Piccirilli.Melinda said the response online from folks in Summerlin, a subsection of Las Vegas, truly shows how a community can come together."The community is all here with us and wants to help us find who these people were," says Piccirilli. A man says he's sorry for causing a commotion in a Baltimore theater last week by yelling "Heil Hitler! Heil Trump!" during a performance of "Fiddler on the Roof.""I opened my mouth and it was so wrong. I know that now," the man told CNN affiliate WBAL. "I don't know what I was thinking. I'm so ashamed."The man, identified in a police incident report as Anthony M. Derlunas, 58, told WBAL and the Sun that he's actually anti-Trump and anti-hate.He told the Sun that the musical reminded him of Trump's immigration policies. His comparison "came out wrong" and was "beyond a mistake," he told the newspaper.The outburst comes at a time of a dramatic spike in anti-Semitic incidents in the United States and follows last month's Pittsburgh synagogue shooting in which a gunman killed 11 worshippers."Fiddler on the Roof" is an award-winning musical based on the "Tevye" stories by Sholem Aleichem, about a Jewish family facing persecution in Tsarist Russia.The incident happened Wednesday night about 10 minutes into the first intermission at Baltimore's Hippodrome Theatre, audience members told CNN.The final scene before intermission reminded the man of his hatred for Trump, according to a police report of the incident, and he then stood up to yell "Heil Hitler! Heil Trump!"Rich Scherr, a contributor for The Baltimore Sun, witnessed the man, who was seated in the upper balcony, shouting the pro-Nazi salute."Several people in the audience began running toward the exits," Scherr told CNN. "I personally thought I was about to hear gunshots."Scherr, who later posted a video from the incident on Facebook and Twitter, said the man went on to shout other things before security took him out. The show resumed 10 minutes later.It is not possible to discern what the man was saying from the video, which shows audience members' apparently concerned reactions.Samit Verma, a journalist at Voice of America, was seated in the balcony on the right side of the theater with his wife when he heard the man shouting."I initially could not make out what the man was saying, but as more people exited the main theater I could clearly see him making a Hitler salute and yelling 'Heil Hitler!' A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to fully restore the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program Friday and accept new applicants for the first time since 2017, according to media reports.A judge with the U.S. District Court in Brooklyn told the Department of Homeland Security to post a public notice by Monday that states they will accept DACA petitions from immigrants who qualify and are not currently enrolled.The judge also instructed DHS officials to grant approved applicants work permits that last two years, and not the one year limit the Trump administration had proposed, according to CBS News."DHS is DIRECTED to post a public notice, within 3 calendar days of this Order, to be displayed prominently on its website and on the websites of all other relevant agencies, that it is accepting first-time requests for consideration of deferred action under DACA, renewal requests, and advance parole requests, based on the terms of the DACA program prior to September 5, 2017, and in accordance with this court's Memorandum & Order of November 14, 2020," the judge wrote.The Trump administration tried to end DACA in 2017, but the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against him in June 2020. Wolf issued a memo in July saying that new applications for DACA would not be accepted and renewals would be limited to one year. The memo essentially suspended the program.Friday’s order follows a ruling in November from the same judge that found acting DHS secretary Chad Wolf did not have the legal authority to close DACA to new applicants, shorten the period for work permits or change protections from deportations.The judge ruled at the time Wolf’s appointment to his position violated the Homeland Security Act of 2002. In his ruling, the judge wrote DHS failed to follow an order of succession established when then-Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen resigned in April 2019.The nonpartisan Government Accountability Office determined in August that Wolf’s appointment was invalid. 2003
