Two SWAT team members in Florida have reportedly been suspended for choosing to respond, without permission, to a shooting at a high school in Florida where 17 people tragically lost their lives.According to the Florida Sun-Sentinel, two Miramar, Florida, SWAT team members were on duty, in the area at the time of the shooting. The SWAT officers chose to respond to the school, despite not having been told to. According to the Miramar Police Department, their decision, "created an officer safety issue and left them unaccountable for their actions," the Sun-Sentinel reports. Detective Jeffrey Gilbert and Detective Carl Schlosser were notified of their suspension on February 22, the newspaper reports. They were instructed to turn in their SWAT-issued rifles immediately. Two Tennessee lawmakers have proposed a bill that would end child marriage in Tennessee.According to a press release Monday, the bill would make marriage age 18 and up – with no exceptions.The bills are sponsored by Sen. Jeff Yarbro and Rep. Darren Jernigan.According to the Pew Research Center, Tennessee is tied for the 6th-highest rate of child marriage.The current law allows 16 and 17-year-olds to marry when parents join in the marriage license application. Judges or county mayors may also approve marriages of people younger than 16, with no minimum age, according to a release.  "Current Tennessee law, would allow either a county elected official or a county judge to approve a marriage for a 15 year old, 14 year old, 9 year old," said Sen. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police asked for the public’s help Monday to find a legally blind man who disappeared from his South Bay apartment. Brian Sampson walked away from his apartment sometime around midnight, police said. He was having trouble sleeping and may have gone for a walk, according to officers. Family members said Sampson is blind and epileptic. He suffered a seizure earlier in the day and was acting confused, police said. Sampson recently moved to the area.
