SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a suspect they say tried to kidnap a 13-year-old girl on her way home from school.According to police, the victim was walking home on the 700 block of Picador Boulevard near Montgomery Middle School in Otay Mesa West when she noticed she was being followed by a black van.The van pulled up next to the girl and opened the door when the man inside asked the 13-year-old if she wanted a ride home.The suspect then grabbed the victim by the wrist and tried to pull her into the van before she was able to escape and run home.A witness driving by saw the 13-year-old talking with the suspect and made a U-turn before seeing the victim run away.The suspect is described as a white male between 50-60-years-old with glasses, a full beard and a raspy voice.
