IMPERIAL BEACH (KGTV) - A man was arrested Saturday in Imperial Beach after residents say he rushed into a home and wrecked their bathroom, leaving blood everywhere. Resident Miguel Ledesma said their front door was open to let in the breeze, "I heard some noise behind me and I turned around and the door was wide open, so I saw him rush through." The man was mumbling about being chased. Ledesma said the man backed up, tripping over the Christmas tree, knocking it over in the process, and went into the bathroom. Ledesma said that's when his brother shut the door to protect the family."There were screams, the lady who lives in there she was screaming pretty loudly," Neighbor Matthew Rodriguez said."We started hearing all these noises, all the breaking, the mirror, the shower curtain, everything in there is destroyed, there's bloody pretty much," Ledesma said. Officers finally removed the man, handcuffing him. The man was later loaded into an ambulance.He had visible cuts on his neck and arms, and a bandage around his head. Ledesma said he came in without a scratch and left bloody."It was pretty scary because we didn't know what he was going to do before the cops showed up," Rodriguez said."We're all okay, he didn't take anything, he just destroyed the bathroom pretty much," Ledesma said. He said they reached out to the property manager to get the bathroom fixed, but his mother was already cleaning with bleach. 1440

(KGTV) - Organizers of the Imperial Beach Sun and Sea Festival say they're ready to go this year, despite a recent sewage spill from Tijuana."It's always on my mind," says Co-Chair Shirley Nakawatase. "I think it's an ongoing situation that we have at the beach."Nakawatase says the spill shouldn't impact the festival, because they only use ocean water for the sandcastle competition. If the water is considered unsafe, they can use fresh water purchased from Cal-Am."We're going to request daily testing to make sure the bacteria count is low," she says, noting that testing will begin on the Monday before the festival.A recent sewage spill dumped 3.5 million gallons of sewage into the ocean south of Imperial Beach, prompting a full closure of the coast in the area. HUDSON, Fla. — The online ad for NBEE TV makes big promises, like “our smart box will bring every movie, every tv show that’s ever been made, plus live sports with no blackouts.”The ad also promises “no monthly fees ever.”The Pasco Sheriff’s Office says NBEE TV, owned by Mickael Cantrell and Nancy Major, was selling these boxes out in the open.They cost between 0 and 0 and are modified to illegally stream all kinds of content.“This is someone blatantly on the side of the road just selling them, with signage, a store front; advertising on the internet with a website,” said Detective Darren Hill.Video piracy is a multi-billion dollar problem for the entertainment industry.And there are countless ways people are downloading illegally.It’s often a cat and mouse game to catch those responsible.But in this case, Hill found a statute that applied and checked with the State Attorney’s Office to make sure an arrest would stick.He also worked with the Motion Picture Association of America after seeing first run movies streamed through this box.“We saw that it had 'Black Panther', 'The Shape Of Water', 'Jumanji' was on there as well. Whenever someone steals that content and disseminates it for free, it usually results in higher prices for everyone else,” he saidHill said some people who bought these boxes have already turned them in as evidence.
