There was also one sighting off the Coronado Coast around noon Wednesday.Del Mar is precisely the escape Kathleen Pierce and her family were after. “We have been suffering in the hundred-degree weather in Temecula so we thought we’d come down to the beach,” Pierce said. (KGTV) - Reports of a positive COVID-19 test at an East County Catholic church are raising concerns about possible exposure.The church is Our Lady of Light Catholic Church in Descanso. On a Facebook post, a board member of the Descanso Town Hall reported a positive case was just revealed to the church pastor by a parishioner. In a statement, a spokesperson for the Catholic Diocese of San Diego says the parishioner is a volunteer who helps prepare the altar for services. She wore a mask and maintained social distance.According to the post, "the person who tested positive was actively involved in all mass and church activities while having symptoms for a week so exposure is possible."The woman remains ill and is now in quarantine at home.The post goes on to explain that exposure was possible for anyone who went to mass in the past two weeks, which includes some 16 different services.It's unclear how many people that totals, but one parishioner tells ABC 10News pre-pandemic attendance for bigger masses numbered in the dozens.The apparent positive test comes amid coronavirus shutdown orders banning indoor church services in the county.The Diocese says the pastor, Father Enrique Fuentes, received a coronavirus test. DENVER, Colo. — A toddler, child, and three adults died in a house fire in Denver where arson and homicide are suspected, according to initial reports from the Denver Fire Department and Denver Police Department.Around 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, a Denver police officer called the fire department to report smoke along the 5300 block of N. Truckee Street, said Capt. Greg Pixely with the Denver Fire Department. This call was followed shortly afterward with several residents calling 911 about a fire in the neighborhood, which is near the southeast corner of Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge.Pixley said police arrived to the home, located at 5312 Truckee Drive, around 2:55 a.m. and made a valiant effort to try to help the people still inside from the "very significant fire."He said the officer who attempted to rescue people from the home was pushed back due to the heat from the fire.Pixley said according to initial reports, a toddler, child and three adults died in the fire and all five were found on the lower part of the home. Three people who had been on the second story of the building were able to evacuate on their own. Pixley said firefighters reported that the individuals jumped from the second story. Their injuries are unknown.DPD Division Chief Joe Montoya said evidence indicates this was an arson, so police will investigate the case along with the fire department.
