SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The register sex offender accused of kidnapping and raping a three-year-old Oak Park girl pleaded not guilty to five felony counts Wednesday. Francisco "Freddy" Diaz now faces up to life in prison if convicted. Diaz is being held without bail. The young girl’s father, Silvester Soltero, says he was working on his car when his neighbor broke into a bedroom window, grabbing his sleeping daughter.Soltero says Diaz’ mother brought his daughter home, but she wasn’t wearing any pants. Soltero said when he asked his daughter what happened, she told him the man touched her private parts.RELATED: Man arrested after three-year-old says she was kidnapped and touchedWhen the father asked who the man was, Soltero said his daughter pointed to Diaz. When the father approached Diaz, Soltero said he became hostile, even threatening to kill him if he snitched.The two men then started fighting when Diaz reportedly tried to poke Soltero in the eye with a fork. After he ran off, San Diego Police caught Diaz a short distance away. After his arrest, Soltero learned his neighbor was a registered sex offender.“They should have told me, they should have told me I was living next to a pedophile, If I had known I wouldn’t have brought my daughter around here, there’s no way in hell," he said.Diaz was convicted in 2006 for molesting three girls on the playground near Oak Park Elementary School, right across the street from his mother’s house. Diaz was sentenced to eight years in prison, in part because he already had a criminal history. In 2000, Diaz was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and making a terrorist threat.San Diego Police say Diaz was in full compliance with the terms of Megan's Law. He is required to check in with police every year and he does so, said Lt. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The trial for a former San Diego County sheriff's deputy accused of sexual misconduct while wearing his uniform began Monday in Vista.More than a dozen women claim Deputy Richard Fischer made unwanted advances."I think he's a bad guy," a San Marcos woman, who filed ,000,000 claim against the County, said.She said in August of 2017 two sheriff's deputies knocked on her door in the middle of the night for a welfare check. There was no problem and they left but she said Fischer returned alone an hour later, saying he needed to use her restroom; then told her she was cute and hugged her, several times."I was stunned shocked, it was very fast and confusing...I felt very vulnerable, intimidated, felt weak. I felt little." She said, next to tears. "It's just a mess! Everything is a mess! This is hard to do. He shouldn't have come back to my house and I don't ... Everything's a mess!"Similar instances were described by other women. In October of 2017, near the entryway of a 64-year-old woman's condo, Fischer took her report for a domestic violence incident and then made his move."His hands went all the way down to her butt and he squeezed both of her buttocks... he took her hand and pulled it down to his groin area," Lawyer Dan Gilleon said. He represents several women who filed claims against Fischer.Gilleon made a theme apparent, "he knows that she's alone, and she's vulnerable, and she's scared." Another victim called him a predator.Some women who came forward claim Fischer became more brazen, forcing sexual acts.Wednesday a plea deal fell through. The deal would mean Fischer would plead guilty to four felony charges -- down from more than 12 felonies -- and serve no more than five years in prison.10News learned that Fischer would also have to register as a sex offender for life under the plea deal.Fischer faces more than 25 years in prison if convicted of all charges. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Three businesses were destroyed last weekend by an act of hate in Mission Hills.It happened at the 'Capello' and 'Beautiful You' salons Saturday morning. Leather chairs were slashed and destroyed. Appliances and flooring were completely flooded after the culprit left the sinks running all night. "They slashed all of the chairs, styling chairs, shampoo chairs, there was detergent everywhere, shampoo everywhere," said 'Beautiful You' manager, Shanell Cedeno.Even an architecture studio one floor down took a hit from the water that went seeping through the salon's ceiling, damaging blueprints and computers. Management thinks the culprit is a former employee of the salon. "Clearly it has to be someone who has a key," said Cedeno. "It's targeted and it was a hateful act someone who clearly dislikes what we're doing here."The damage is estimated at tens of thousands of dollars. "Karma will definitely take its place first before they find them, I'm sure," said Cedeno. "If it's not happening already, it's coming for them."An investigation is underway.
