(KGTV) - Neighbors in Bonsall who survived the Lilac Fire are anxious about the impending hot, dry, windy weekend.The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Wildfire Warning starting at 10 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday."With it being so hot the next couple days yeah I'm pretty much on high alert," Neighbor Kimberly Marrs said.She was there in December 2017 when her neighborhood lit up. She said homes a quarter mile away burned down.The Lilac fire burned 4,100 acres, destroyed 114 houses and damaged 55, and killed more than 45 horses according to fire officials.Giving Marrs reason to be hyper-aware, "I'm super diligent. I'm always looking at the sky and paying attention... Especially when it gets this extremely hot, especially having gone through the lilac fire, in the middle of it, I get a lot of anxiety from it and that's why I stay on top of it because I want to be super prepared."She said Saturday morning she is going to fill up her gas tank and coordinate with friends so everyone is ready to evacuate at a moments' notice. Another concern she has this weekend is the power staying on."I'll charge everything up in the morning and pull all the plugs in the afternoon... Best Buy informed its employees on Wednesday of plans to close all 250 of its mobile standalone stores in the United States by the end of May, a company spokesperson confirmed. The stores are predominately located within malls and are much smaller than Best Buy's big box stores. The mobile standalone shops are mostly used for the sale of cellphones and accessories. These locations do not sell some of Best Buy's bigger ticket items such as televisions, computers and appliances. The standalone stores are only responsible for 1 percent of Best Buy's overall revenue.Although thousands of employees will be affected by Wednesday's announcement, the company said the goal is to transfer employees currently working in standalone stores into Best Buy's big box locations. Best Buy said that 85 percent of its standalone stores are within 3 miles of a big box store. "Employees will have three months to work with internal recruiters, and field and store leaders across the country are rallying to help transition employees to big box stores and open in-home advisor roles," Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly wrote in a letter to employees, and shared with Scripps. BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida woman has been arrested after she allegedly beat and strangled her newborn twins to death, claiming she didn't know she was pregnant before she gave birth. Rachael Lynn Thomas, 30, told law enforcement that she gave birth to the boy and girl newborns on the toilet, according to WFTV. She said that the infants later died. An autopsy report released on Tuesday revealed that there was more to the babies' deaths than Thomas' story.According to police, Thomas called 911 from her home on Sunday "in reference to an unresponsive newborn." Thomas said she left work that morning after feeling sick. When she got home, she says she went to use the restroom and gave birth on the toilet, according to reports.Police said Thomas cut the baby boy's umbilical cord with a pair of scissors, placed him inside a blue shirt and began "cleaning up the mess," according to the arrest warrant."Baby John Doe" was pronounced dead at the hospital.When investigators went to Thomas' home, they say they found the body of a newborn girl in the trash can in a carport. Police say that it appeared as though she had tried to conceal the body with trash. Detectives say that the infant's umbilical cord was wrapped around her throat and that an object was lodged in the back of her throat. "Baby Jane Doe" was pronounced dead at the scene.According to reports, Thomas claims she didn't know she was pregnant and said that she continued to have her period until this month.Detectives said that the newborn twins suffered severe blunt force trauma to their heads.Investigators said Thomas told them “they were both dead and she got scared,” according to WFTV.Thomas was arrested on Monday afternoon and charged with child neglect and one count of tampering with evidence. On Tuesday, the charges were upgraded to one count of first-degree murder, two counts of felony murder and two counts of aggravated child abuse. Thomas has two other children.
