(KGTV) - A Ramona couple walking their yellow Labrador puppy say they were attacked by two pit bulls Tuesday night, suffering serious injuries.Michael Dougherty was walking with his wife, Dee, in the Kmart parking lot in the 1800 block of Main Street training their puppy, Rueger. Dougherty said it's easier in the parking lot, as there is more light, compared to their rural neighborhood.As they walked toward the Taco Shop, around 7:15 p.m., Dougherty said from the corner of his eye, he saw two pit bulls charging.RELATED: Dog and owner mauled by pit bull during walk in OceansideThey attacked Rueger and his wife, who went down trying to rescue the dog. Dougherty is recovering from a back injury and walks with a cane. He used it as a weapon."I just started beating the dog, beating the dog, until it [the cane] snapped. This fell down alongside the dog and my wife and she grabbed this and was jamming it into the dog's mouth. When this broke I started punching the dog in the head."Eventually they were able to separate all three dogs. No one escaped uninjured. "Her thumb was bitten three quarters of the way around," saying the skin had been pushed up, away from her hand. (KGTV) – Sheriff’s investigators and San Diego Police Detectives worked together to arrest three men after a series of small business burglaries in the Poway and Rancho Bernardo area.Robbers shattered the glass doors of Tony Pepperoni early Sunday morning and stole the restaurant’s safe."I was just happy it was at 5 a.m., and nobody was here and everyone's safe," said Sarah Dean, the manager of the pizza place. She said security cameras caught the burglary on camera.Pattaya Thai, the restaurant right across the street, was also broken into early Sunday morning.Dean believed the same thieves robbed both restaurants, which are in Rancho Carmel Village Center.The next break in the case came from more than three miles away in 4S Ranch on Sunday afternoon when a neighbor reported loud noise coming from behind the Boys and Girls Club.When deputies arrived, they found three men trying to crack the Tony Pepperoni’s safe.Sheriff’s investigators and SDPD detectives arrested and questioned Da'Shon Morales, 20, Jesus Ruiz Arias Jr., 19, and Fernando Vazquez Cruz, 20, on Sunday night in connection with burglary, possession of stolen property and other crimes. 1206

Question-and-answer website Quora warned late Monday that hackers gained access to the personal data of as many as 100 million of its users.Quora discovered on Friday that one of its systems had been hacked by "a malicious third party," CEO Adam D'Angelo said in a blog post.The compromised information includes users' names, email addresses and encrypted passwords as well as data from social networks like Facebook (FB) and Twitter (TWTR) if people chose to link them to their Quora accounts.The hackers also obtained details about users' activity on Quora, such as questions, answers, upvotes and downvotes. RAMONA, Calif. (KGTV) - A suspect was taken into custody following a hit-and-run crash that injured a bicyclist in Ramona in early October. Chase Richard, 32, was arrested on the 16000 block of Swartz Canyon Road in Ramona Tuesday. According to California Highway Patrol, Richard is a Ramona resident. Earlier in the week, authorities said they found the vehicle that injured the cyclist. The bicyclist, Michelle Scott, was seriously injured the morning of Oct. 2. on State Route 67 near Dye Road. The vehicle involved was a black 2019 Ford Edge, according to the CHP. Witnesses provided information which led investigators to the possible location of the vehicle involved in the crash. Officers saw the vehicle with damage consistent with the hit-and-run collision. (KGTV) — Two people were killed in a motorcycle crash east of Ramona on Sunday.The collision happened on Littlepage Road and Old Julian Highway, in the Witch Creek area, just after 2 p.m. between a motorcycle and off-road side-by-side utility task vehicle, often called a UTV, according to CAL FIRE San Diego.The two people riding on the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene.
