The technology is the same used to famously clone Dolly the sheep in 1997.RELATED: San Diego doctor boards flying eye hospital to help patients in needThe result for the Tschirharts is a Labrador named "Ziggy," with uncanny similarities to Marley, the family told 10News reporter Matt Boone."They have the same personality, they play the same, they favor the same toys," said Alicia Tschirhart. The cost for Viagen's services are listed online for dogs at ,000 and cats at ,000. A spokesperson says they currently have a one year waiting list.RELATED: San Diego's Evofem promising couples a game-changing birth controlA price worth every penny for the family who says Marley saved their lives."This was in 2014, Marley was 12 then, Alicia was about 4 months pregnant," David Tschirhart says. "I suddenly saw Marley dart out in front of me and clawing and digging the ground where Alicia's hand was reaching.""I just saw this really big stick and so I was focused on grabbing that, I didn't even see the snake until Marley started clawing," Alicia Tschirhart adds.RELATED: San Diego Biotech company working with drug makers on coronavirus vaccineNext to the stick she was reaching for was a coiled up rattlesnake. Marley chased the snake away before disaster could strike. Now, the growing family has Ziggy — and a piece of Marley — with them."I couldn't think of any better way … their years growing up … to have Ziggy around," David Tschirhart said. 1801

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A stolen trailer belonging to a local Boy Scout troop has been recovered, but nearly all of the inventory is gone. Some wooden poles and some cooking supplies are what they found in a previously stuffed trailer. Nearly 50 scouts strong, Boy Scout Troop 11 out of University City was prepping for a camping trip when the packed trailer recently disappeared from a church parking lot.  The trailer contained all of the troop's camping equipment - some ,000 worth - from tents and stoves to cooking equipment, used for the camping trips and cooking events for homeless shelters. The theft puts those excursions in jeopardy.RELATED: Thieves leave Chula Vista Boy Scout troop heartbroken"It's just devastating because the equipment is so important to us ... We try to put smiles on other people's faces. It's just challenging because a lot of scouts come to our troop to camp and do more things, but we can't do that without our equipment," said Roman Greer, one of the scouts in Troop 11.On Monday night, the trailer was found along a road in the Mission Bay area. Greer is happy to have the trailer back, but disappointed that the thief looked inside and then decided to raid it."To have Boy Scout insignias over the equipment, that's entirely terrible because you're knowingly taking away from kids and their experiences growing up," said Greer.A Gofundme campaign has been set up to help the troop repurchase the equipment. 1480

Since 2014, there have been 10 deaths in the county associated with mitragynine.Salmonellosis is a common intestinal infection traditionally associated with undercooked poultry or eggs, contaminated water, or unpasteurized dairy products. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- An Ocean Beach woman was alarmed by a flier taped to her door saying "the antichrist will destroy anyone who worships him." Holly Raines said her 7-year-old son found the flier taped on their front door. “I started reading the letter but I was like half asleep so I started panicking a little bit because it just seemed very threatening and very intense,” Raines said. Several other neighbors say they got one too. The letter stated it was from New Life Christian Chapel, which is a few blocks away from where Raines lives in Ocean Beach. “It was very damning and then it has like a phrase that says ‘The antichrist will destroy anyone who worships him, there is no middle ground,’” she said. Raines said the flier quotes several Bible verses but found them far from comforting. “The words just aren’t very friendly, they talk about slaying lambs and antichrist and unrighteousness,” Raines said. It ended by inviting her to a home Bible study but she can't help but feel like the church crossed a line. “We have a lot of friends that go to church around here and a lot of the community churches here are awesome, they do great things,” Raines said. “The idea of taping anything on somebody’s door is a lot and this is a full document of typing. I mean if anyone wrote me a letter like that I would think it was an angry letter.”10News reached out to New Life Christian Chapel, and Pastor Thomas J. McNearny told 10News in an e-mail:"My purpose in distributing the flyers was simply to get the Word of God out to the public. I get no perverse pleasure in scaring people but simply want the best for people by helping inform them of what God's will for them is and how Jesus Christ has made a wonderful salvation available for them. The apostle Paul did say that: 'Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. ..' Judgment is coming but there is a way to be ready. We love people and want to welcome them to come and find peace with God." 2023
