BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay a working visit to the Philippines on Tuesday at the invitation of his Philippine counterpart Albert Del Rosario, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei announced on Monday.

China and Vietnam have been in close contact on infrastructure cooperation and the deal can be regarded as a model for win-win cooperation between the two countries, as both sides expect connection of China's Belt and Road Initiative with Vietnam's Two Corridors and One Economic Circle plan.

After their talks, the Chinese and Singaporean leaders witnessed the signing of a slew of cooperation documents in such areas as inter-connectivity, trade, construction of Belt and Road, city governance and planning, education and custom.

"Both sides will exchange views on improving bilateral relations," Hong said, adding that China is reluctant to see the difficulties in China-Philippines relationship.

China is willing to continue strengthening bilateral counter-terrorism cooperation with Pakistan and safeguarding regional peace and stability together, he added.
