Wondering how I'm going to get everything done," said Rollins.Rollins's husband suffers asthma and requires an air purifier in the home. Rollins herself lives with a lung condition and needs to plug in a nebulizer for half an hour every day to clear her lungs."Didn't sleep much last night wondering what's going to happen," said Rollins.Rollins says a hotel is costly and is concerned no hotel will accept her two dogs and parrot. Amid mounting wildfire costs and liability for utilities across the state, SDG&E - armed with high-tech tools - continue to become more proactive with wildfire prevention. Even though she has no family history and does self exam routines regularly, she's been diagnosed twice with breast cancer."I feel like I have double the opportunity and double the responsibility to make sure I give other women the opportunity to become a survivor," said Breyfogle.A big part of that is help from the Susan G. Komen Foundation. All of the money raised during their Race for the Cure 5K stays in San Diego. This event helps pay for mammograms, biopsies, support resources, and other medical needs for those who need it.Shaina Gross, the President and CEO of the Susan G. Komen Foundation San Diego Chapter says, " We hear all the time where people have to pay for their medication or their rent. And we don't want anyone to have to make that decision."Added support, Breyfogle says, is helpful as you deal with a disease that affects six women in San Diego a day. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- One man is in jail after police say he bit an officer while resisting arrest. The incident happened in the East Village at approximately 4:30 a.m. Monday morning near Market Street. Police say they received a report of a man behaving erratically and when they arrived the man was rolling around in the the middle of the street. Video shows officers approach the man attempting to resolve the situation peacefully when the man backs away and falls on the the 10News Breaking News Tracker vehicle. Police say the man bit an officer on the knuckle as they were detaining him. He was transported to a hospital where police say he vandalized hospital equipment. The unidentified man was then released by the hospital into police custody where he is facing vandalism and resisting arrest charges. 824

LAKESIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - A 2-year-old pit bull is being called a hero after five strangers burst into an apartment in Lakeside and attacked his owner.Early Friday morning at the Julian Estates apartments, Ed Neumeister was sound asleep. His rescue dog Hitch was with him in bed. Neumeister's brother was in his own bedroom, awake and gaming."Someone was taking off the screen and sliding the window open," said Neumeister.Neumeister says his older brother heard a noise, and saw a man in his 20s crawling through his bedroom window. He was followed by four others, including a woman. All reeked of alcohol."They told him, 'We have a gun. We have a knife. We're looking for Eric with two dogs," said Neumeister.His brother told them they were at the wrong place. While four of them left the room, the man who remained threatened their pets."He said, 'Do you mind if we kill your animals?'" said Neumeister.Moments, the four intruders were kicking at Neumeister's bedroom door. "I wake up, and I'm being dragged off my bed into the living room," said Neumeister.His memory is hazy, but he says the four intruders pummeled his face for several minutes, leaving him with a black eye, cuts and scrapes. The woman bit his arm, leaving teeth marks. But she wasn't the only one biting. The numerous cuts on his pit bull's body and face - likely from a knife - reveal the struggle as the normally gentle Hitch defended his owner, eventually chasing off the burglars.After they took off, Hitch chased them down the street. Deputies later found him injured - and a hero in the eyes of his owner."So proud of him. He saved us really.
