An 11-year-old boy is dead after being shot by his brother Monday night in Streetsboro, Ohio, according to authorities.Streetsboro police were called to Alden Drive just before 10 p.m. for reports of a shooting.Streetsboro Police Chief Darin Powers said an 11-year-old boy was shot by his 13-year-old brother in what "appears to be a premeditated act."The weapon used was a handgun that the 13-year-old stole from his grandfather's home, according to police.The police department said paramedics took the 11-year-old to University Hospital Portage Medical Center, where the victim was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound.The 13-year-old brother was arrested and charged with aggravated murder and was taken to the Portage County Juvenile Detention Center.It appears the 11-year-old boy was shot in the back, according to police.Police are not releasing any names because they are juveniles.Lieutenant Patricia Wain, of the Streetsboro Police Department, spoke to reporters on Tuesday about the fatal shooting."It doesn't happen here. As coronavirus cases begin to jump again in the United Kingdom, Prime Minster Boris Johnson announced Wednesday a nationwide ban on gatherings of more than six people. The ban goes into effect on Monday.While coronavirus cases in the UK currently pale in comparison to the spread of the virus in the US, the UK has seen a marked jump in infections. According to New York Times data, the rate of new cases has doubled from three weeks ago. Johnson’s announcement comes as the UK reported 32 coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday, the most in a single day since July 29.The UK has a population of 66 million, which is nearly one-fifth the population of the United States, which reported 462 coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday.Previously, the UK had a ban on all gatherings of more than 30 people.“It will be enforced by the police. And anyone breaking the rules risks being dispersed, fined and possibly arrested,” Johnson said.Johnson told reporters on Wednesday that limiting gatherings is an important step in stopping the spread of the virus.“I should stress that if we are to beat the virus, then everyone at all times should limit social contact as much as possible and minimize interactions with other households,” Johnson said. “It's safer to meet outdoors, and you should keep your distance from anyone you don't live with, even if they're close friends or family.”Since the start of the pandemic, the UK has reported more than 41,000 coronavirus-related deaths. ANAHEIM (CNS) - Thousands of Disneyland enthusiasts lined up early Friday to experience the theme park's newest Star Wars Land ride.Bobby Navarro of Garden Grove said he got up at 4 a.m. with his friends and got into the park by 5:30 a.m.Navarro experienced Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance when it debuted at Disney World on Dec. 5, so he had some practice in using the company's application to sign up for a pass to the attraction. An Ohio woman is filing a lawsuit against the Montgomery County Jail claiming excessive force was used against her.Marsha Pate-Strickland is suing the Montgomery county jail for this video-tapped incident.It happened back in 2015.Pate-Strickland says it all began when she asked a corrections officer at the jail if she could exchange her juice for milk.In the video, you can see the officer grab her and slam her to the floor.Pate-Strickland said she complained that her arm and shoulder were injured. But she refused medical attention.Now she claims she has permanent and debilitating injuries.Officials with the Montgomery County jail have not commented on the lawsuit. 710
