SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Six people inside a minivan that drove down a flooded road near Fashion Valley mall were rescued Friday, according to a San Diego Fire-Rescue official. Avenida del Rio, a popular exit route for the mall south of Friars Road, was closed Thursday and Friday due to rising water levels in the San Diego River. A lifeguard river rescue crew was nearby, along with fire trucks. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police said Wednesday officers detained a woman who reportedly had a shotgun in the parking lot of the department's headquarters.Police said a woman drove into the parking lot just before 12:30 p.m. One department employee saw she was armed with a shotgun, police said.Officers quickly surrounded the woman's vehicle and a Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (PERT) was on hand to assess and provide support to the woman, SDPD added.Within about 10 minutes, the police said the woman was detained.
