You've probably heard the story of 6-year-old Bridger Walker, the Wyoming boy who protected his sister from a dog attack. The social media post showing the boy’s scars went viral.Saturday, he was in Denver at IT’SUGAR Candy Store, where he got to go on a candy shopping spree with his siblings.Bridger is smiling for a big reason.“Because I like candy,” he said. The 6-year-old who saved his little sister from a dog attack a couple of weeks ago got a candy shopping spree at IT'SUGAR Candy Store in Denver. They are just the latest in a long line of people reaching out to thank him.“It's been surreal," his father, Robert Walker, said. "We never expected this to go viral the way it did. We were literally just hoping for a postcard or a letter or a shout out to boost our little boy's spirits.”Actor Chris Evans promised him a Captain America shield. Fellow Avengers, Tom Holland, and Robert Downey, Jr., reached out, wanting to reward a little, real-life hero.“He's always been protective of his little girl. She's always been his little princess, and she gets annoyed sometimes that he won't leave her alone. So, it didn't surprise us at all that he would jump in the way he did,” his father added.Bridger has received gifts of support from all over the world, but his parents say the attention hasn't gone to his head. The sugar rush may be the latest chapter for this little hero. One, the family is so thankful for.“The world's a good place, and that there are hundreds and thousands and millions of wonderful people in this world,” Robert Walker said.Bridger and his siblings can all share this experience together.“We're close, and this experience has definitely made us closer,” Robert Walker added.KMGH's Sean Towle first reported this story. 1760

due to concerns of elevated vitamin D levels, joining a growing list of dog foods nationwide that were recently recalled for the same reason. The latest information from Hill's Pet Nutrition says products purchased between Sept. 1, 2018 and March 21, 2019 are recalled as they may be potentially affected. This does not include dry foods, cat foods or treats."While vitamin D is an essential nutrient for dogs, ingestion of elevated levels can lead to potential health issues depending on the level of vitamin D and the length of exposure, and dogs may exhibit symptoms such as vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, excessive drooling, and weight loss," the original recall states. "Vitamin D, when consumed at very high levels, can lead to serious health issues in dogs including renal dysfunction. Pet parents with dogs who have consumed any of the products listed and are exhibiting any of these signs should contact their veterinarian."The original recall came after a complaint was made about a dog exhibiting signs of vitamin D toxicity as a result of eating a Hill's Pet Nutrition product. The elevated vitamin D levels are being attributed to a supplier error. The affected dog food products were distributed to pet stores and veterinary clinics nationwide. The 1299

With the 20th anniversary of 9/11 coming up next year, the children of 9/11 first responders are coming together to share their stories for the first time in a new book due out next year."Even though we all experienced the day, we wall experienced it differently," said Susan Fiorentino, daughter of NYPD Retired Detective Pete Fiorentino, who responded to the World Trade Center attacks. "I was 10," said Susan, now 29 years old. It was Fiorentino's idea and she is leading the project to collect stories. "It’s important to raise awareness this is still a community that is suffering and we need to support them."So far, she has gathered 50 stories, including her own. She says the experience of 9/11 has influenced her and so many other 9/11 children to lead a life of service."I had a lot of people who said because my father because my mother was a first responder, that is what made me get into the first responder field," she said. She is still looking to collect more stories about how the children of 9/11 responders saw their childhood and now adulthood impacted by the day, documenting history through the eyes of some who have never told their stories before."Through connecting with others in my own experience in getting help with being a 9/11 first responder child has helped me so I hope it would help others as well," she said. The book will be published next summer. All the proceeds will go to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which honors first responders and members of our armed forces.Anyone interested in submitting their story should e-mail Susan before December 1 at Susan.Fiorentino11@gmail.com.This story was first reported by Christie Duffy at WPIX in New York, New York. 1706

-- New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro -- did not meet the Democratic National Committee's criteria to take part. And California Sen. Kamala Harris earlier this month became the latest major candidate to drop out of the race.At a time of Democratic indecision, the remaining contenders are all facing their own challenges. Biden is clinging to his front-runner status after a series of uneven performances. Sanders has experienced something of a resurgence after having a heart attack earlier this year, but he and Warren are still splitting the far left of their party while trying to demonstrate that they can build a coalition to vanquish Trump in the general election.Biden led the field at 26% in 790
