LA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- La Mesa Police are warning people who own Ford Rangers about a string of recent burglaries. According to the department, the trucks are being targeted for burglary. Since the beginning of the year, eight of the trucks have been targeted by car prowlers - an unusually high number. Detectives say there are no patterns when it comes to how the the thieves are breaking in or what they’re taking.Police advise people who own the vehicles to remove any valuables. It was the Quaker cereal with oats, honey and raisins.It wasn’t until the Carelse’s sat down for a serving that any of them realized something was terribly wrong.“It looks like February 22, 1997,” Anthea Carelse said, pointing to the box’s printed “best by” date. LA MESA (KGTV) -- A man who mistook his gas for the brakes crashed into the side of the Marque Urgent Care Wednesday.Police say the man was driving his SUV on Lake Murray Boulevard near Dallas Street when he hit the gas instead of braking.The vehicle then struck a tree, hit the Marque Urgent Care, taking out two load-bearing pillars, knocked over two handicapped parking signs and eventually became lodged in an iron railing at a barbecue restaurant.Following the crash, the urgent care facility was evacuated and closed.The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with cuts. 603

LEMON GROVE, Calif. (KGTV) - A major crash on SR-94 near Massachusetts off-ramp caused backups on the westbound lanes Wednesday night.According to CHP, the driver of an SUV traveling east and lost control just after 8 p.m. The SUV drove through shrubs on the center divider, jumped the median wall and ended up upside on the westbound lanes.The driver has been identified as a 35-year-old man. He was driving alone. He was taken to the hospital with major injuries, but was conscious, according to CHP.Alcohol is believed be a factor in the crash.Authorities on the scene were not sure if he was wearing a seatbelt.The crash caused cars to swerve out of the way, causing other accidents on the 94. One fender bender was reported, and a motorcycle rider lost of control and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.Two lanes of traffic were closed off on the westbound lanes. All lanes were reopened shortly after 10 p.m. 933

Las Vegas Police said they received calls about a person with a gun at the Boulevard Mall Thursday evening.No injuries have been confirmed, and no reports of shots fired.
