(KGTV) -- U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested an El Salvadoran citizen Wednesday they say is a previously deported sex trafficker.Agents say Gloria Reyes-Lopez, 62, (pictured below) was arrested after Border Patrol agents noticed her illegally enter the United States at the El Centro sector around 7:30 Wednesday night.After her arrest, Reyes-Lopez was taken to the Calexico station for processing.“This individual is a convicted felon who preyed on young, innocent children,” said Assistant Chief Patrol Agent David S. Kim. “The men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol are this country’s first line of defense against threats like this.”Reyes-Lopez will be prosecuted for re-entry after removal, according to authorities. 752

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (KGTV) — A large plume of smoke could be seen over Camp Pendleton on Wednesday, as fire crews battled the De Luz Fire.The fire was reported just before 1:30 p.m. on the west side of De Luz Road, according to Camp Pendleton officials. It wasn't clear how large the fire was at the time, but officials say there was a threat to structures and precautionary evacuations were taking place for De Luz Housing and surrounding buildings, including the CDC, school, and NCIS locations. CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (KGTV) — Officials Friday identified the Marine killed in a rollover crash this week at Camp Pendleton.Officials identified 1st Lt. Hugh C. McDowell, 24, of Washington D.C., as the Marine killed after a light armored vehicle rolled over Thursday at Camp Pendleton. Six others were also injured in the crash.The crash occurred during regularly scheduled battalion training, officials said. He accepted his commission as a Marine Corps officer on May 5, 2017. By mid-afternoon on Wednesday, some of the streets of Louisville were filled with demonstrators upset by a Kentucky grand jury decision not to charge two of the officers involved in fatally shooting Breonna Taylor in her home in March.On Monday, the city was placed in a state of emergency with the expectation that protesters and law enforcement would clash. Many downtown businesses were boarded up and police officers were called back from vacations.As of 9 p.m. ET, the city went under a mandatory curfew.Thirty minutes before the curfew order went into effect, two Louisville officers were shot amid the protests. The officers were hospitalized but expected to survive, Louisville Metro Police said.Brett Hankison was the only officer charged among those who participated in the raid on the apartment where Taylor lived. Hankison’s charges, however, were not directly in response to Taylor’s shooting. He was charged with wanton endangerment for firing gun shots at other apartments.Two other officers, Jon Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove, are not facing charges. Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron considered their use of force justified.Hankison, Mattingly and Cosgrove returned fire during the raid after Taylor's boyfriend Kenneth Walker fired at the officers.
