The death toll from the ongoing Camp Fire near Paradise, California continues to grow as authorities found another eight bodies, increasing the number of confirmed dead to 58. The Camp Fire is the largest single wildfire in California history, now doubling the death toll of second-deadliest fire in California history. The number of confirmed destroyed structures also has increased to more than 10,000. The death toll could continue to rise as the Butte County Sheriff's Office said that nearly 100 people remain missing. The Florida Panthers have hired Brett Peterson as an assistant general manager, making him the first Black executive to hold that position in the NHL. "I'm very excited for this opportunity with the Panthers and with Bill's growing front office team," said Peterson in a press release. "It's a special day for myself and my family and I can't wait to get to work."Peterson's hiring comes days after the nearby Miami Marlins hired Kim Ng as the first female GM in Major League Baseball. The NHL has been working to increase minority participation in front offices and on coaching staffs. Peterson has a background as a player agent just like GM Bill Zito and fellow assistant Paul Krepelka. The 39-year-old was previously vice president of hockey for Wasserman Media Group and has been an NHLPA certified agent since 2009.Peterson also played professional hockey and made it up as far as the American Hockey League level. The CBS board of directors is in the process of picking outside counsel to conduct an investigation after company CEO Les Moonves was accused of sexual misconduct.In a statement, CBS said that "no other action" was taken on the matter at Monday's board meeting.The meeting was scheduled before a bombshell report in The New Yorker Friday detailed allegations against the CEO. Six women told the magazine that Moonves sexually harassed them.In a statement to The New Yorker that was also obtained by CNNMoney on Friday, Moonves said he has "promoted a culture of respect and opportunity for all employees" throughout his tenure at CBS."I recognize that there were times decades ago when I may have made some women uncomfortable by making advances," Moonves said. "Those were mistakes, and I regret them immensely. But I always understood and respected — and abided by the principle — that 'no' means 'no,' and I have never misused my position to harm or hinder anyone's career."The idea that Moonves should step aside during the probe was raised by at least some board members this weekend, according to one source who spoke to CNNMoney on Sunday.The board also said on Monday that it would postpone its annual meeting of stockholders, which was scheduled to be held August 10. Customers are now required to wear masks inside their stores.Back on July 8, the company stated consumers must wear masks inside their stores. Two weeks later, they changed its policy to "request" face masks to be worn.Now, they require masks to be worn inside the store at all times."To best help protect one another, and in accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we are requiring all Associates, customers, and vendors to wear face coverings when inside our stores," the company stated on its coronavirus response page on its website.The company also added that store employees would be provided with face coverings. 789

The Florida Highway Patrol said 30-to-40 vehicles have flat tires Monday morning on Interstate 95 northbound from Lantana Road to the Okeechobee Boulevard exit in West Palm Beach. The vehicles have flat tires due to metal debris in the road from a semi.All of the vehicles are off to the side of the interstate.Scripps station WPTV in West Palm Beach flew over the area and did not spot any lane closures, but traffic is traveling slow in the area.Drivers should avoid using I-95 northbound in this area until all of the debris is cleaned up.  596
