The top US Navy SEAL recently sent a blistering letter to the force, writing in boldface type, "We have a problem," following several high profile incidents of alleged misbehavior by the US Navy's elite service members, CNN has learned.Rear Adm. Air travel could be snarled heading into Thanksgiving thanks to a large snowstorm poised to sweep across the country on Tuesday and Wednesday. As a result, United and Delta have both announced waivers for some travelers impacted by this week's storm. The waivers allow travelers to rebook their flight without penalty. Adding insult to injury, a second storm could toil with travelers following the holiday. According to the National Weather Service, nearly a foot of snow is expected to fall in Denver, which is a major hub for United Airlines. The National Weather Service also cautioned drivers who will use Interstates 70, 26 and 76. United Airlines announced on Sunday travel waivers for those departing from Denver now through Nov. 29. The pre-Thanksgiving storm is then expected to travel north, where 5-7 inches of snow are expected around Minneapolis. Minneapolis is a major hub for Delta. Delta announced late Monday waivers for those flying out of Minneapolis.Although snow is expected to stay well to the north and west, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit and Cincinnati are expecting an extreme wind event. This week is the end of an era at the Warren Tech Center in Michigan. A man who has worked there for more than 67 years will say goodbye to co-workers as he retires. The UAW says Elmer Zurakowski is the highest seniority hourly employee in the all of General Motors. Mr. Zurakowski stopped at his local UAW hall before coming in to work on Wednesday. There they showed him a plaque made for him by his co-workers celebrating a more than 67-year-long career. “Well I started working when I was 18-years-old. I became a die maker apprentice. This was at Plant 23 in Detroit,” recalled Zurakowski. It was 1951. He remembers as he started the job seeing workers building tanks for the Korean War. He was ready to learn. “When I started the apprenticeship I wanted to go into the wood field. They said according to your tests it shows you would be better working with metal than wood. I didn’t know anything about metal, but growing up on a farm I used wood all the time. What they did, I think, they needed more die makers than wood pattern makers. But I went along with that and I was very happy with it,” said Zurakowski. The work at General Motors supported his family. He and his wife had a son and three daughters. He says he is going to miss seeing his co-workers everyday. “We have interesting people. There are natural teachers in there. It is an interesting place to work,” said Zurakowski. Notably Mr. Zurakowski is a member of Mensa International, the high IQ society. He says his long career was rewarding because he chose to find purpose in each days accomplishments. “If you don’t get your pleasure out of your work, you are never going to know what pleasure is. If you think you are not having fun, start thinking differently,” he said. In his retirement he is looking forward to focusing on his woodworking hobby and spending time with family. 1868

John McCain's father and grandfather out of sight ahead of the President's trip."A request was made to the U.S. Navy to minimize the visibility of USS John S. McCain, however, all ships remained in their normal configuration during the President's visit," Rear Adm. Charlie Brown, chief of Navy information, said in a statement. "There were also no intentional efforts to explicitly exclude Sailors assigned to USS John S. McCain."Brown added that the Navy is "fully cooperating with the review of this matter tasked by" acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan.Two Navy officials told CNN on Wednesday that the White House Military Office had asked lower-level US Navy officials about keeping the ship out of view -- an impractical request as the ship was under repair, one of the officials said."Once leadership heard about it, they said knock it off," a senior Navy official told CNN.The ship ultimately was not moved nor was the name obscured, said Cmdr.
