Researchers believe the number of those infected could be anywhere from six to 24 times higher than what had been confirmed through testing early in the pandemic. (KGTV) -- A man who was apparently shot with an arrow was found dead in National City Monday afternoon.According to National City Police, the incident was reported at around 2:30 p.m. near the 1800 block of Wilson Avenue.After the shooting, the suspect reportedly called police saying he shot an arrow into a man. The suspect told police there was a fight before the shooting.NCPD Captain Alex Hernandez said the suspect showed officers where the victim was located. The victim was found in what appeared to be a homeless encampment and pronounced dead at the scene."We were able to recover the bow and some other items that were nearby as evidence," said Hernandez.Police say a woman who was believed to be with the two men at the time of the shooting was questioned. All three are believed to be transients living in the encampment where the incident took place, police say.While the deceased man was not identified, National City police identified the suspect as 39-year-old Miguel Venegas; he was booked into jail on a suspicion of murder charge. 1080

High School teen Jayson Goetz was the talk of his high school's prom after he showed up in green and gold Green Bay Packers suit covered with Packers logos and topped off with bright yellow pants and a Packers bow tie. Goetz, a Mosinee High School junior, said he and his friends didn't want to put on the typical, stuffy black tuxedo and blend into the background of prom. And he was glad he made the decision.“It was one of the greatest nights of my life,” Jayson told the Wausau Daily Herald. “I wish I could relive it a hundred times.”Goetz and his mom assembled the ensemble on Amazon.com and said the prom attire is a tribute to his late grandfathers—Mike Goetz and Phil Riedel, both of Mosinee—who died in 2017. “I wish they both would have seen (the suit),” Jayson told the Wausau Daily Herald. “I think they both would have laughed. They would have loved it.”Goetz's mom was skeptical about the outfit at first, but once she heard the reason he wanted to wear it, she happily approved. “I had no idea what he was doing when he first told me about it,” she told the Wausau Daily Herald. “I probably tried to talk him out of it at first. I didn’t know what he was getting into.“Then he told me why he wanted to wear it.”Mosinee High School is located 20 minutes south of Wausau and had a student population of 634 as of January 2017. NASA said that astronauts successfully grew radishes on board the International Space Station for the first time in NASA history.The plants are being placed in cold storage to be examined when astronauts return from the space station in 2021.NASA says that the radishes reached maturity in 27 days, and are fully edible and nutritious.“Radishes are a different kind of crop compared to leafy greens that astronauts previously grew on the space station, or dwarf wheat which was the first crop grown in the APH,” said Nicole Dufour, NASA APH program manager at Kennedy Space Center. “Growing a range of crops helps us determine which plants thrive in microgravity and offer the best variety and nutritional balance for astronauts on long-duration missions.”Growing plants on board could be an important step in order to send astronauts to Mars and beyond. NASA said its encouraged by the results given that radishes are easy for astronauts to maintain. 959
