She also later signed a non-disclosure agreement, saying she would keep quiet in exchange for payment.Daniels claimed that Trump defamed her when he said she lied about being threatened to keep quiet about the affair. President Donald Trump's campaign said Tuesday it has filed for arbitration, accusing Omarosa Manigault Newman, the former campaign aide and White House official, of breaching a 2016 nondisclosure agreement with the campaign.The move is the first legal action the Trump campaign has taken since Manigault Newman published a tell-all book about her time as a Trump campaign adviser and senior White House official."Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. has filed an arbitration against Omarosa Manigault Newman, with the American Arbitration Association in New York City, for breach of her 2016 confidentiality agreement with the Trump Campaign," a Trump campaign official said in a statement to CNN.Manigault Newman embarked in recent days on a publicity tour to promote her newly released book, "Unhinged," in which she reveals private conversations during her time on the campaign and in the White House. Residents in states hit by Hurricane Laura continue the long recovery to restoring their homes and businesses destroyed in the Category 4 storm.The death toll from Hurricane Laura has risen to 19 people across Louisiana and Texas.Power and water outages were widely reported in the hardest-hit areas, and it is expected to take weeks before the outages are restored.One of the places hit by the storm was Orange, Texas. Strong winds destroyed buildings, downed power lines and uprooted trees.Resident Robert Matthews is an employee at Mowers, Tractors Inc. in Orange.
