SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - With young children fast asleep in their bedroom, surveillance video shows a burglar on the prowl at a home in South Park. Just off 32nd Street, Billy McCowan woke up to a disturbing sight on Wednesday morning."Came over and saw the side door open to the garage," said McCowan.RELATED: La Mesa woman wakes up to burglar in her bedroomA look at the surveillance video revealed who had been on his property. Starting at about 8 p.m., a pickup truck pulls up and parks across from his home. At about 5 a.m., a man wrapped in a blanket emerges from the truck and walks through his front gate.McCowan believes the burglar walked through the unlocked door to a detached garage - a converted office - and grabbed an iPhone. Video shows the man roaming the property. Next up was a detached hot tub room."We had a small TV in here," said McCowan. In the video, the burglar is seen carrying that TV. Meanwhile, inside the home were McCowan's wife, and two children, ages 3 and 5. They were all asleep.Forty-five minutes after the man first arrives, the intruder is seen peering into the children's bedroom. By this time, McCowan has woken up and he's making coffee in the kitchen. The man appears to see him and ducks down, before quietly getting into his truck and driving off. It was a fortunate twist. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - There will not be a new pledge class this year for one fraternity at San Diego State University.Phi Kappa Theta had its charter revoked by its national organization on Nov. 6.According to Phi Kappa Theta National, recent actions by members of the CA Phi Iota Chapter caused the chapter to be placed on suspension by both SDSU and the fraternity earlier this fall."This unanimous decision was difficult yet necessary," Fraternity President Adrian Gonzalez said. "Our intention is to use this process as a means to continue our Board’s long-term vision of supporting chapters aligned with our mission, vision, and values.”The fraternity said the SDSU’s chapter’s culture no longer aligned with the fraternity. SDSU officials said Phi Kap was initially put on suspension in January of this year and advised the fraternity that any further incident would result in their removal.“Allegations of violation of the alcohol policy by the fraternity were reported in September, which necessitated the further action,” SDSU media relations officer Cory Marshall said.Phi Kappa Theta’s expulsion at SDSU is in effect for seven years. 1159

She said the man also said, "I blame all the Chinese people for bringing this virus into this country."The incidents are not just happening out in public."My organization, SDS U'S Filipinx and Filipinx-American organization Andres Bonifacio Samahan was recently Zoombombed by a group of unknown individuals slandering us," said SDSU student Cristal Ami.Video from the Zoom meeting shows a group of unknown people yelling things like, "All you Asians have coronavirus!"In San Leandro, hate-filled notes were left on several homes, one read, "You have until May 23, Saturday at 10:30 AM to leave this country.
