BEIJING, March 19 (Xinhua) -- French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said Thursday that France will learn from China's experience in fighting COVID-19 in a phone conversation with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
Xi underscored the importance of ensuring jobs for the poor as the year 2020 is the time for winning the anti-poverty fight.
The meeting also called more efforts to strengthen coordination among monetary, fiscal, employment and other policies and deepen market-oriented interest rate reform in a bid to buffer the economic blow from the ongoing epidemic outbreak.
China will also make efforts to maintain the stability and competitiveness of the country's industrial and supply chains and ensure the full completion of the poverty eradication target on schedule, said the meeting.
Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said China's experiences and expertise originated from the fact that China had faced the outbreak earlier than Malaysia, and Malaysia learned a lot from China in terms of its action plan and strategic planning.
