Oceanside Police sent an alert to residents which read in part, "Oceanside is being affected by heavy rain and flooding in the city. This will include intersection and several roadways. If the roadway appears unsafe you are being advised to not attempt to drive through that area. University of Arizona assistant basketball coach Mark Phelps and senior basketball player Keanu Pinder have both been suspended from the team for violating unspecified NCAA rules.Both will miss Friday's game against Northern Arizona University.Phelps's suspension is without pay and will last five games. She was reported missing by her family on May 14, officials stated.Suyat is believed to be staying in the areas between Spring Valley and Chula Vista, and sheriff’s officials noted that “there is also a possibility she is in the hospital” but investigators said that has not been confirmed.Suyat is described by sheriff's officials as Hispanic with brown eyes and brown hair, and she has a distinct mole on her left cheek. (AP) — Arizona authorities say a driver escaped injury when his car's windshield was pierced by the trunk of a saguaro cactus during a wreck Wednesday on the outskirts of Tucson.Pima County sheriff's Deputy Daniel Jelineo said the black sports car struck the cactus while crossing a median before ending up on the other side of a road and that the cactus ended up slamming into the car's windshield.The broken-off cactus ended up partially inside the car, with the rest jutting over car's hood.Jelineo said deputies detained the driver for further investigation after observing signs and symptoms of impairment.The driver's identity wasn't released. 671
