PORT MORESBY, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived here Thursday to pay a state visit to Papua New Guinea (PNG) and attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting.
He stressed that the cooperation would continue in the collection and processing of data.
The inauguration of the Chinese consulate general here in Davao is an auspicious sign of the city's promise and the bright prospects for our engagement with China, Locsin said in his remarks.
"In contrast, it is interesting to see from the remarks of some Americans that, besides its own interests and demands, the U.S. is concerned about China and Russia rather than Africa," Lu added.
While delivering a written speech upon arrival, Xi praised the traditional friendship between China and Portugal, saying that the bilateral relations have withstood the test of time and international vicissitudes and become even stronger.
