BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- With a new blueprint outlined for the next five years and beyond, China is now preparing to march toward a new stage of development amid an increasingly complex world.

Vice Premier Sun Chunlan, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Shen Yueyue, vice chairperson of the National People's Congress Standing Committee and president of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), presented awards to the honorees at an award ceremony in Beijing.

"This will promote the domestic economy and create greater market opportunities for the rest of the world," he told a press conference Friday.

The fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, scheduled for Oct. 26-29 in Beijing, will review proposals for a development blueprint and chart the course for the future.

The last five years have seen upending changes in the world. Economic globalization faces headwinds amid rising protectionism and unilateralism.
