CINCINNATI — Ohio State Representative John Becker, R-Clermont County, has announced that he has filed articles of impeachment against Gov. Mike DeWine.Becker, who represents the suburbs outside of Cincinnati, drafted the articles back in August to “restore the rule of law” back to the state.On Monday, 12 articles of impeachment were issued by him, along with Reps. Chicago is going by a color-coded system that places states in a red, orange, or yellow category. Travelers from “red” states must quarantine for 10 days upon their arrival or for the duration of time in Chicago, whichever is shorter. Visitors from “orange” states can obtain a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 72 hours before visiting or quarantine for 10 days. CINCINNATI -- A police officer working an off-duty detail at a grocery store used a stun gun on an 11-year-old girl Monday evening.The officer was working a detail at the Kennard Avenue Kroger when his attention was brought to the girl and two others who were involved in shoplifting, Lt. Steve Saunders said. The officer gave the girl several commands to stop, and then deployed the stun gun.Medics at the scene checked on the girl, and later so did staff at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Saunders said. He said that as far as he knows, the girl doesn't have any health issues as a result of the Taser deployment.Saunders said that a stun gun can be used on anyone between the ages of 7 to 70, according to Cincinnati Police Department procedure.CPD procedures on use of force state, "The TASER may be deployed on a suspect actively resisting arrest when there is probable cause to arrest the suspect, or to defend one’s self or another from active aggression."The procedure also notes that officers should consider the severity of the crime, the level of suspicion with respect to the fleeing suspect, the risk of danger to others and the potential risk of secondary injury to the suspect due to their surroundings before using a stun gun."An individual simply fleeing from an officer, absent additional justification, does not warrant the use of the TASER," CPD procedure states.The girl had a backpack full of items, Saunders said. She was charged with theft and obstruction, and then released to her parents. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A beloved South Bay preschool director is being remembered as someone who always made others feel special.Aaron Partch was a co-director at Concordia Preschool in Chula Vista. He passed away September 15th.A virtual memorial for him was held Saturday.Like many other schools, Concordia closed in March during the pandemic. A couple months after the school closure, Partch was diagnosed with grade four glioblastoma. He had undergone brain surgery and was receiving treatment, including chemotherapy and radiation. In mid-September, Partch passed away suddenly from a heart attack.“God took our warrior up to heaven where he no doubt is singing and dancing with the angels,” his family wrote online.His co-workers said his energy will be missed.“He knows everybody by name. His greetings were always extremely cheerful, but sincere. When he asked you how your day was, he wanted to know,” said preschool teacher Meagan Lee, who worked with Partch for the last two years. “I think it’s really hard for all of us to walk down the halls and know he’s not going to be there with us.”Partch had been with Concordia Preschool for more than ten years. Nearby schools also remembered him.“If you knew him, you knew what a loss this is not just for Concordia, but for our community as well. Aaron was one of those people who lit up a room. He filled every moment with happiness and joy, and he was such a great leader to his students,” the Enrique Camarena PTA wrote on Facebook.Partch was 51 years old.
