She alleged “Miller demoted her in retaliation for her rejection of his sexual advances and efforts to avoid further harassment by him.”Team 10 contacted the Sheriff’s Department late Monday. A spokesperson said Miller is no longer with the department, since he retired.She added they cannot comment on pending lawsuits. She was diagnosed with Acute Megakaryoblastic Leukemia on July 20, 2017, at just 18 months old, according to a Facebook post from her mother. Over the next five months, Viv was hospitalized, faced multiple challenging complications, and received a bone marrow transplant from an anonymous donor. One year after her diagnosis, she was in remission.Then, during a recent routine biopsy, Viv’s family learned that she is beginning to relapse, and her cancer is returning, her father said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. The biopsy revealed that 0.2 percent of her cancer cells are back.The family is working with doctors at the Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland to develop a plan to get Viv back into remission and fully healthy again, and to capitalize on the fact that her cancer numbers are still low, her father said.One of the potential treatments Viv’s doctors would like to administer is a process called Donor Lymphocyte Infusion, or DLI. A family in Tennessee was able to escape their burning house thanks to their neighbor's rescue dog.The home in the Franklin, Tennessee neighborhood of Twin Oaks was seriously damaged in a fire caused by fireworks, officials say.Neighbor Jess LeCates said his 3-year-old Belgian malinois Roux was barking frantically at his front door around 10:20 p.m., about an hour after the homeowner threw fireworks near a trashcan outside, sparking the fire.Roux noticed the fire and led LeCates to the home where the roof and garage were already on fire. A black bear that traveled across several states and garnered a large social media following has been rescued and transported to safety by the Missouri Department of Conservation.According to department officials, the bear traveled through Wisconsin, Illinois, and Missouri before finding himself trapped between two highways in Wentzville, Missouri.“The bear found itself in a tough spot, stuck by several major roadways,” said MDC State Furbearer Biologist Laura Conlee. “Due to the proximity to the roadways, coupled with the busy travel day, MDC staff determined the bear had little chance of safely leaving the area on its own. In the interest of public safety and the bear’s safety, MDC staff made the decision to immobilize the bear and transport it to a nearby area of suitable bear habitat outside this urban corridor.”Bruno was sedated and then was released unharmed when he awoke, MDC staff said.Social media users had dubbed the black bear Bruno after he was first spotted back in June, officials said in the press release.In a press release, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources said Bruno likely traveled the long distance in search of a mate. 1173

A Long Island woman is showing off the unlimited potential of a tiny home she’s created out of a school bus.Some people call it a magic bus, but Catherine Ovejas likes to call it “apartment 84,” named after her children, who are eight and four.It’s a 30-foot-long, 50-seat school bus that she gutted and turned into a tiny home that sleeps up to four people.“We have here what can be a sitting area, but also a sleeping area,” Ovejas said.She bought the used bus, and with a little outside help she spent six months converting it.It’s about three feet from the sleeping area to the kitchen.“We wanted it to be as self-sustaining as possible, so there is a 55-gallon water tank secured under the bus,” she explained. 728
