SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One of the top brass at the San Diego Sheriff’s Department is facing an allegation of inappropriate conduct, Team 10 confirmed.A San Diego Sheriff’s spokesperson confirmed that Assistant Sheriff Rich Miller received a complaint and released this statement to Team 10:"The Department has received a complaint alleging inappropriate conduct by Mr. Miller. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department takes all allegations of misconduct very seriously.  As a result, an investigation is underway.  Mr. Miller is currently using accumulated leave time until his planned retirement date.  We cannot comment further based on the pending investigation." 686

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — President Donald Trump told reporters Saturday the United States may close its border crossings to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.Speaking from the White House, the President said his administration was "thinking about" possibly closing the country's borders to guard against the spread of COVID-19."We have ports of entry that we are keeping open. And we're not talking about it, we're thinking about all borders," President Trump said Saturday, when asked of the country's border with Mexico. "But right now that's not a border as it pertains to what we're talking about here. This is not a border that seems to be much of a problem right now. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One day after San Diego County allowed dining in restaurants to resume with modifications, Pacific Beach's El Prez was ordered to close for violating county public health orders.Now, the restaurant and bar says it's hoping to reopen sometime next week after passing an health department inspection.Last week, El Prez was the scene of customers ignoring physical distancing and facial covering rules. Dozens of San Diego Residents in La Jolla and Del Mar took to Twitter after hearing the noise before 12:45 p.m. "Felt it in La Jolla / Windansea - even my dogs started barking," one Twitter user said, referring to the noise. Several people wondered whether or not an earthquake could be to blame, but according to the United States Geological Survey, the nearest earthquake was a 2.9 magnitude near Corona reported at 4:16 a.m. Wednesday. USGS' website states that, "reports of a bang are a clue that it's a sonic boom, but not an ironclad indicator since shallow earthquakes often sound like booms or bangs."10News has reached out to military officials to see whether or not military exercises may have caused the boom.The Marine Corps, however, did send a statement that reads, in part: "While we are aware of media reports of a possible sonic boom, no 3rd MAW units have reported one in San Diego air space.
