Florida Panhandle officials are trying to figure out how to resume classes after Hurricane Michael damaged or destroyed many schools last week.Schools in at least eight counties -- Washington, Liberty, Jackson, Gulf, Gadsden, Franklin, Calhoun and Bay -- will remain closed until further notice, the office of Gov. Rick Scott said Monday in a news release.The challenge is especially daunting in Bay County."I would say every single school in Bay County has some type of damage, some more extensive than others," said Steve Moss, vice chairman of Bay District School Board. "Some it'll probably take weeks or months to get online. FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A driver narrowly missed hitting a deputy on a traffic stop Tuesday, instead rolling over their vehicle in an effort to avoid hitting him.The whole crash was caught on dash cam video.On Tuesday afternoon, Eddy Ramos was driving when the rollover happened in front of him.His video shows an SUV in the northbound lanes swerve past the deputy who was stopped on the right shoulder.  The SUV veered left and rolled over across the median, coming to a stop upside down in the southbound lanes.Thankfully the SUV's driver appeared to be uninjured as she climbed out the driver side window.No word on whether any charges were filed. 659

Former Arizona Diamondbacks player, Matt Mantei, was reportedly arrested in Michigan Tuesday for assault and battery.According to TMZ Sports, Mantei, 44, was arrested and booked into Berrien County Jail.Details surrounding his arrest were not immediately available but Mantei remained behind bars as of Wednesday morning, TMZ says.Mantei played 10 seasons in the big leagues for the Diamondbacks, Red Sox and Marlins. On July 8, 1999, he was traded by the Florida Marlins to the Diamondbacks where he remained through the 2004 season. 552
