PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - Two people were shot Friday evening during a football game at Palm Beach Central High School in Florida.According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, one of the victims was located on the school property. The second victim was transported to a local hospital by a friend. Officials say both victims are currently being treated at area hospitals. Their conditions are unknown. Gender and ages of the victims have not been confirmed at this time. Initial reports from district personnel indicated the shots seem to have come from outside the stadium, the school district said. Details on this remain under investigation. Dwyer student-athletes boarded the bus and were escorted back to Dwyer High School, according to Kathy Burstein with the School District of Palm Beach County. Unaccompanied students were picked up in the school's bus loop. There were a number of law enforcement officers on site. All students are safe, no students are reported injured, according to a tweet from PBCSD.School district officials present at the football game, including school police, school principal, assistant principals and many others do not report any kind of student altercation prior to shots being fired and no student disruptions leading up to shots being fired were reported either, said Burstein. All district outdoor activities, sporting events, and practices are canceled for the weekend, including third-party rentals of athletic fields, according to the school district. Suspect information and motive are unknown at this time. The shooter is still not in custody, officials say. PBSO says this is not an active shooter situation. Palm Beach County School Board Police have requested PBSO Violent Crimes Division to assume the shooting investigation.  1882

People who watch certain classic Disney movies on Disney+ will see a new, more strongly worded advisory warning about racist content.Disney announced last year when they launched they would include an advisory on some films that read "may contain outdated cultural depictions."Now, the advisory has stronger wording, and will be included on films like “Peter Pan,” “Dumbo” and “Lady and the Tramp” that contain racist or insensitive content. In a statement on their website, they explain their decision to add an advisory.“As part of our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion, we are in the process of reviewing our library and adding advisories to content that includes negative depictions or mistreatment of people or cultures. Rather than removing this content, we see an opportunity to spark conversation and open dialogue on history that affects us all,” the company states.Disney says they are making decisions on which films receive the advisory based on guidance from third-party partners, including AAFCA, GLAAD, NALIP, among others.This is what the new advisory says:This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. PARKLAND, Fla. — Three Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students were arrested on Tuesday in separate, unrelated incidents. The Broward County Sheriff's Office says that one student faces a misdemeanor charge for making a threat on social media.Around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, a Broward Sheriff's Office deputy responded to the school to investigate a tip and interviewed the 10th-grader about photos he shared on Snapchat. In one image, the teen displays a gun in his waistband. In a second image, he shows off bullets, according to BSO. The detective said both photos had threatening messages; one message was directed to a person named "Josh."BSO detectives found the suspect's action to have interfered with school function and disturbed the peace. The teen was subsequently hospitalized under the Baker Act for being a threat to himself.
