The St. Louis Police Department is investigating one of their own after he issued a ticket to a man who honked at him.According to an interview in the Riverfront Times, Scott Smith was on his way back to work when he honked at a car stopped at a green light. Video shot by the driver and given to the RFT shows a very tense interaction. The car was an unmarked police car. When pulled over, Smith says "seriously?"The officer than replies "Seriously, is your horn stuck?" to which Smith replies "Is your brake stuck?"That's when the officer cusses at the driver asking again "Is your f-ing horn stuck?"He demands to see his driver's license.Smith says he will, but asks for what."I'll tell you what, you can either show your driver's license or you'll get a ticket and I'll tow your car and lock you up," said the officer.Once again Smith asks why he's been pulled over and the officer says it is for a traffic violation."For honking at someone who's stopped at a green light?" Smith asks. He then calls the situation "f-ing ridiculous." "Well you know what? Maybe you shouldn't be a f-ing a-hole," the officer responds. The officer issued the driver a ticket, but the city counselor's office reportedly will not prosecute it, saying they do not believe it should be pursued."The Department has launched an Internal Affairs investigation into the incident you are inquiring about. At this point, it would be premature for the Department to comment on an ongoing investigation before it concludes," a St. Louis Police spokesperson said.  1557

The Stallion Springs, California Police Department is warning the public about a cell phone "spoofing" scam that's going around asking for personal information. The spoofing scam appears to look like a legitimate phone call as the caller ID is displayed as the victim's own cellphone number.A voice recording identifies the call is coming from AT&T, and advises the victim that their cellphone account has been compromised and they may be a victim of fraud. The voice recording then asks for the victim to confirm their personal information, specifically asking for the last four digits of their social security number.AT&T confirmed to Stallion Springs Police that this is a phone scam. Police advise that if you receive calls like this, to not answer them. If you do answer, do not give out your personal information. Hang up and call your phone company asking about the legitimacy of the scam or call police. Report spoofing at www.IC3.gov. 989

The uncle of a little boy who ran away from Moton Elementary School in Brooksville, Florida on Tuesday morning is furious about how the situation was handled.Nick Schillinger is shocked that his 5-year-old nephew was able to get away from Moton elementary."If it happened at anyone’s house, that parent would be charged with child neglect. If it happened at a daycare, daycare workers would be arrested," he said.Christy Collinsworth and Ally Bedson were driving in separate directions when they saw the little boy running toward a busy Highway 50, nearly a half mile from the school."I feel like God put me in his path because that is not a normal time I come down this road," Collinsworth said. Both Collinworth and Bedson stopped and were able to catch him and call 911."I sat down on the ground with him and he was still very upset and distraught," Collinsworth said.Hernando County School District gave this statement about with happened: 965

The White House has issued a new warning to CNN's Jim Acosta, saying his press pass could be revoked again at the end of the month. In response, CNN is asking the U.S. District Court for another emergency hearing."The White House is continuing to violate the First and 5th Amendments of the Constitution," the network said in a statement Sunday. "These actions threaten all journalists and news organizations. Jim Acosta and CNN will continue to report the news about the White House and the President."Last Friday CNN won a temporary restraining order, forcing the White House to restore Acosta's press access to the White House for 14 days. Judge Timothy J. Kelly ruled on Fifth Amendment grounds, saying Acosta's right to due process had been violated. He did not rule on CNN's argument about First Amendment violations.Later that same day, the White House sent Acosta a formal letter outlining a "preliminary decision" to suspend his pass again once the restraining order expires. The letter cited his conduct at President Trump's November 7 press conference. The letter was signed by two of the defendants in the suit, press secretary Sarah Sanders and deputy chief of staff for communications Bill Shine. The letter signaled that the Trump administration wants to continue fighting Acosta, despite the round one setback in court, rather than seeking an out-of-court settlement. It looked like an effort to establish a paper trail that will empower the administration to boot Acosta again at the end of the month. In a court filing on Monday, CNN's lawyers said the network and Acosta "remain hopeful" that the parties "can resolve this dispute without further court intervention."But the new letter from Shine and Sanders is an "attempt to provide retroactive due process," the lawyers said.So CNN and Acosta are seeking a hearing on a preliminary injunction "for the week of November 26, 2018, or as soon thereafter as possible," according to Monday's filing.Such an injunction could be in effect for much longer, thereby protecting Acosta's access to the White House.Lawyers were already expected to be back in court this week to discuss the timeline for further proceedings. 2186

The Wisconsin Supreme Court said Thursday it will not hear President Donald Trump's lawsuit, which had been requested to overturn election results in two Wisconsin counties. The lawsuit sought to overturn 200,000 ballots in Wisconsin. The decision from the Supreme Court comes just days after the Wisconsin Election Commission officially declared Joe Biden as the winner of Wisconsin."What we had is an abuse of the absentee process, dramatically in Dane and Milwaukee County,” said Jim Troupis, attorney for the Trump campaign. The lawsuit specifically focused on absentee ballots that were cast both through the mail and in person. The suit aimed to dismiss absentee ballots where the clerks' offices "inserted missing information,” people cast ballots "claiming Indefinite Confinement status" even if they "no longer qualified,” and absentee ballots "improperly cast or received at ‘Democracy in the Park’ events,” which were held in Madison.Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Election Commission have said the Trump Administration is required to file the lawsuit in circuit court, not the state Supreme Court. This story was originally published by Julia Marshall at WTMJ. 1183
