A metro Detroit restaurant is defending a viral video showing a brawl inside the Asian Corned Beef on Gratiot.An employee told Scripps station WXYZ in Detroit she was scared when things quickly got out of hand but says her boss and general manager did what they had to do.It’s a video that’s been viewed more than a million times. It was taken on a cell phone inside the Asian Corned Beef on Gratiot Saturday night.WXYZ reached out to the customer who shot the video. The customer did not feel safe talking, but we that we could use the video. The customer shared the video in Facebook, saying “Asian corn beef on Gratiot ghetto, the whole staff jumped on one person.”The video appears to show a customer arguing with employees, apparently because something was wrong with his order, before an all out fight breaks out.The district manager said they didn’t want to start fighting with the customer and told him to leave.It’s an incident the company said quickly escalated and they didn’t mean for it to get that far.The company said they told police they didn’t want to file a police report, and say they hope this incident doesn’t put a negative light on the restaurant. 1209

A Texas man is facing riot charges in Minnesota for allegedly firing a semiautomatic rifle into a Minneapolis police building during demonstrations following the death of George Floyd.A criminal complaint alleges Ivan Harrison Hunter, 26, is a member of the Boogaloo Bois, a group that espouses violent anti-government views, and that he drove to Minneapolis at the end of May with the intent of participating in a riot.U.S. Attorney Erica MacDonald announced Hunter faces charges of traveling across state lines to participate in a riot.Floyd, who was Black, died on Memorial Day after a white Minneapolis police officer pressed his knee on his neck for nearly eight minutes. The incident sparked protests against police racism and brutality across the country.Federal investigators have said he fired 13 rounds from a semiautomatic rifle into the Minneapolis Police Department's Third Precinct building while looters were inside. The building later burned. They say they have video of the incident and Hunter was identified from a screen grab of that video.According to the complaint, Hunter made statements on social media describing what he did in Minneapolis.Police in Austin, Texas, stopped a pickup truck on June 3 in which Hunter was a passenger for multiple traffic violations. Hunter had six loaded magazines for a semiautomatic rifle in a tactical vest he was wearing. Officers also found multiple firearms in the truck.Several days after the stop, federal investigators learned of Hunter’s online affiliation with Boogaloo Bois member Steven Carrillo.Federal prosecutors have charged Carrillo in the death of a federal protective officer in Oakland, California, during a protest over Floyd’s death on the same night Hunter allegedly opened fire in Minneapolis.MacDonald said Hunter made his initial court appearance Thursday in San Antonio, Texas. They left for their road trip honeymoon a few days later. But on August 5, Adam had to be taken to the emergency room with a respiratory disease that was affecting his breathing.Adam's body became increasingly paralyzed while in the ER, leaving his chest, arms, lungs, throat, facial muscles and neck without feeling. He was admitted to the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit that same day and has since been on life support.Adam and Bridget now communicate through writing on paper, as Adam's hands and wrists were not affected by paralysis as much as other areas of his body.He has been doing daily occupational and physical therapy and has made progress in being able to hold his head up on his own.A GoFundMe page has been set up for Adam and Bridget.
