BEIJING, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- China launched a group of four satellites on Wednesday at noon for commercial remote-sensing services, an important step in the development of remote-sensing space technology.

It includes exercises for joint escort, joint search and rescue, hijacked vessel rescue, weapons use, humanitarian rescue and disaster relief.

Liu and Sun Chunlan, both members of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, attended the event.

Local governments of different levels should ramp up efforts including providing financial and tax support, creating new mechanisms for private capital to take part in the task so as to meet the deadline.
