(KGTV) — A body was discovered in a small North County lake while vector control workers sprayed for bugs Thursday.A helicopter pilot was dropping larvicide over the area behind the Vons shopping center at State Route 76 and Frazee Road about 1 p.m. and spotted the body floating on the surface, according to police.The lagoon was inaccessible by foot, said police. Officers deployed a drone to confirm there was a body on the scene.Oceanside Fire Department Lifeguards were called to retrieve the person's remains. Investigators believe he or she may have been in the water for at least two weeks.Oceanside Police responded to the scene and investigated the discovery. OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - The San Diego Humane Society is asking for the public's help in solving an animal cruelty investigation. Around 5:30 p.m. on April 29 Humane Officers received a call about a loose goat running in and out of traffic at the busy Oceanside intersection of College Boulevard and Marvin Street.Oceanside resident Scott Palmer made the call when he noticed the goat on his commute home. “I literally told him to sit and stay, don’t know what I was thinking but I tried to distract him, and then he followed me to my car," said Palmer.Palmer described him as being as friendly as a dog.A Humane Law Officer picked up the goat and then received surveillance video of the incident. The footage shows two people abandoning the goat and driving away in a 4-door, white pickup truck.“It’s ok for you to come to us, please don’t abandon your animals when you can bring them to San Diego Humane Society and we'll take care of it for you," said Dariel Walker, with the Humane Society. She says if you cannot afford the fee, the Humane Society can still help. (KGTV) -- Police arrested a 16-year-old boy after he reportedly killed a duck with a golf club in Ontario Wednesday, according to ABC 7 in Chicago.The teen shared video that appeared to show him striking the duck. The duck’s remains were later found at the Whispering Lakes Golf Course.The 16-year-old was issued a citation for felony animal abuse after being arrested at his home.Members of the Colony High School golfing team were practicing when one of them said they accidentally hit a duck while teeing off.The boy claims he killed the duck to put it out of its misery, however, police say there may be more to the story due to the video being posted on social media. Police have said the investigation is ongoing. 748
