A woman from New Zealand and a man from Australia took their love of aviation (and each other) to new heights by tying the knot 37,000 feet in the air.Australian David Valliant and New Zealander Cathy Valliant officially said "I do" on a commercial Jetstar Flight 201 from Sydney to Auckland.As the plane flew between their two countries, the couple pledged their love and commitment to each other in a special ceremony at the front of the aircraft's cabin. They tied the knot as they hit the halfway point between their home countries.A Jetstar ground crew member acted as officiant as the plane's passengers and crew looked on."It was the most amazing experience and something we will remember for the rest of our lives," said Cathy Valliant in a statement.The couple met online in 2011 while playing the computer game "Airport City" and met in person for the first time two years later at Sydney airport."Our love of aviation is what brought us together," Cathy said.The legal wedding ceremony took place at Sydney Airport ahead of takeoff, but it was the ceremony in the sky that was truly memorable.A few years later, her soon-to-be husband had planned to propose onboard a flight from Brisbane to Melbourne but nerves got the better of him, Cathy said. "He eventually proposed that evening," she added.Cathy said she wanted to do "something really memorable" for their wedding and so posted on Jetstar's Facebook page about her idea to get hitched in the air."We wanted it to symbolize our love for aviation, our love for Australia and New Zealand and our love for each other. I thought: I'll be cheeky and ask Jetstar," she said.The airline agreed and made the arrangements for the couple's dream wedding in the sky.A representative for Jetstar explains to CNN that "all customers [who had been booked on the flight] received an email beforehand saying there was going to be filming," though the wedding details were not included. A man with autism who is well known in his community says he is now scared after he was tackled and arrested by a Temple (Texas) PD officer. According to the Temple Police Department, around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers received a call about a man walking in and out of traffic near an intersection. Police say the caller reported that the person, later identified as 30-year-old Sergei Hall, was acting erratically by flailing his arms and yelling. The caller reported she was exiting Planet Fitness when she saw Hall in the parking lot, and that his behavior made her fear for her safety. As she exited the parking lot, she told police Hall walked in front of her car and stopped, causing her to brake abruptly to avoid hitting him. Hall explains he was minding his business, waiting at this corner in Temple to cross the road for a sweet tea"I was just walking down the street with my music on, just doing my own thing, and then this officer just came out of no where, he just came, like I didn't even see him, and he kind of spooked me," he said.Police say Officer Jacob Perkins arrived on scene and made contact with Hall at an intersection near a private driveway in front of Temple Mall.Police say Officer Perkins requested that Hall step away from the intersection to speak with him, but Hall walked away from the officer and into the roadway.That's when Hall says the officer grabbed him."And he kind of just threw me against the ground, and my face, my face hit the ground hard, like, my face smashed the ground," he recalled.Police say since it was dark with heavy traffic, and there have been three recent incidents of pedestrians being struck by vehicles, Officer Perkins pulled him out of the roadway, took him to the ground in a nearby grassy area, and arrested him for evading.People watching were horrified. "I seen the cop run and tackle him. He hadn't done anything," said Dezja Wedderburn, who witnessed Hall's arrest.</p><p>"I told the officer I wanted to go home and that it wasn't my fault, and he told me I had to go to jail last night," Hall said while choking back tears.Hall was booked for evading arrest by the Temple Police Department."It makes me feel like I wish more people understood me," Hall said.Hall carries a puzzle piece to symbolize he has autism. Many think the officer missed the mark. "For the officer to do it that way, I just think it was uncalled for, and it makes me not want to trust the officers in Temple," said Erin Gonzalez, a friend of Hall's."They need to retrain, retrain, retrain, retrain. They need to be retrained on a lot of stuff," said Wedderburn.Known from walking everywhere he goes, Hall's concerned about stepping out. "I worry about, I don't want to go out there because I don't want them to bother me because and I'm kind of worried about them now," he said.But this incident doesn't take away from his self-love."I'm proud I have autism, because people are special that have differences," said Hall.It also doesn't take away from his love for all for Temple."I wish the best for all of you because I love everybody and just to let you know my name is Sergei, thank you," he said. A student says when she would tell her parents how school staff spoke to her, they didn’t believe her. So she grabbed her phone and recorded it. When her family saw it they said it is time for adults to be held accountable. In the video she recorded you can hear the principal of the Riverside Academy West Charter School in Dearborn, Michigan, and students. The principal says he was called by a teacher to help with disruptive students. Because she is a minor we are withholding her identity, but the student recording admits she interrupted class by talking with a friend. She says the principal then overreacted. He can be held yelling at the students to shut up and to go to another school if they don’t like it. He calls one student a big mouth. “I was scared. One girl was crying, because he has two faces, one for the parents and for us,” said the student. “I cannot imagine watching a teacher treat my children this way,” said Kaytlyn Dell, who is the student’s older sister. She is speaking for her parents because they do not speak English. “Kids are screaming. Teachers are screaming. There is no structure,” said Dell. “Anything short of treating children with dignity and respect, parents, colleagues, administrators, is unacceptable.
