Murphy said the gathering may have violated state rules on large gatherings during the pandemic.However, White House spokesman Judd Deere said the president didn't have any contact with donors or staff that would be considered close, based on the CDC guidelines of longer than 15 minutes and within 6 feet.But Dr. Rich Roberts, a pharmaceutical executive from New Jersey who made a video describing the event, said he sat a seat away from Trump during the indoor roundtable.Rich said the event involved about 19 people and lasted perhaps 45 minutes. Sette, 73, attended only the outdoor portion of the event, when the president spoke to supporters at a distance from a patio.Sette feels fine, but saw his doctor and plans to be tested Wednesday “just for my own satisfaction.” He said he was happy to be contacted by tracers, because it shows the system is working.“It was very well run, If I didn’t think it was safe, I wouldn’t have stayed,” said Sette, who said he wore a mask and has not seen many people, including his grandchildren in Florida, since February.“Millions of people have it,” said Sette, noting the related hospitalization of former Gov. TRENTON, Fla. — Two deputies in Trenton, Florida were killed in the line of duty on Thursday.Around 3 p.m., two Gilchrist County Deputy Sheriffs were shot and killed in the Ace China restaurant in downtown Trenton, after a suspect walked up to the business and shot both deputies through the window.According to the Sheriff’s Office, when fellow deputies responded to the scene, they found the shooter deceased outside the business and Sgt. Noel Ramirez, 30, and Deputy Taylor Lindsay, 25, deceased inside."At this point, it remains an active criminal investigation with no apparent motive or indications as to why this tragedy occurred," the Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office wrote in a press release.Officials from the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the State Attorney’s Office have all responded to the area to assist.Ace China restaurant is located on East Wade Street in Trenton, Florida, just off SR-26. Twitter rolled out a 280 character limit for most of its users Tuesday, and, predictably, lots of people are unhappy.That doubles the original 140 character limit that Twitter has maintained since it launched in 2006.Twitter began testing longer tweets in late September, and found that once the novelty of tweeting longer wore off, most people in the test group didn't use all of the available characters. According to the company, only 5% of tweets sent by people in the 280-character test group were longer than 140 characters, and just 2% were over 190 characters.Many users complained about the initial tests. Now that just about everyone's got 280 characters to work with, more people say they're frustrated or confused by the decision. Others are using new characters to make jokes. Other people were curious about how the new parameters will change the way people interact on the platform.The big question on everyone's mind is how President Donald Trump, an avid Twitter user, will use the expanded space. The president tweeted two messages Tuesday that went beyond the old 140 character limit.But another Trump doesn't appear to like the change. (KGTV) It wasn't the usual welcome home party for Tyler Priest, a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS)."I didn't think this many people would show up," he explained. "Because everyone is scared in their house, but this is really nice to see everyone."Priest was welcomed home, drive-thru style, in the parking lot of Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center Monday. He sat on a truck as family and friends drove by welcoming him home, staying at least six feet away.Priest was on his LDS mission in the Philippines and completed 20 of 24 months he set out to serve, before he was ordered to return home due to coronavirus concerns."This last Tuesday the government in the Philippines told us all foreigners need to leave," he explained. "We flew through Japan, didn't get off the plane, then through Salt Lake to San Diego."Priest returned home late Sunday night, he said he was checked for COVID-19 symptoms several times before arriving in San Diego."They did check our temperatures too many times, but I guess better safe than sorry, makes sense," he said.Although his return home was abrupt, his family is more than thrilled to have him back. It has been a difficult year for them all."While Tyler was gone his dad passed away and the community has been so sweet," said his mother, Ginny Priest. "Even in this super crazy time it's been nice to show their love from a distance."California Highway Patrol Officer Mark Latulippe was there for the Priest family when Shawn Priest, Tyler's father, was killed in a car crash."He was the one who came to tell me about my husband and stayed with me and my family throughout the day," Ginny Priest explained.Ginny Priest said she didn't know Latulippe before her husband passed away. Shawn Priest and Latulippe played softball together and were good friends. Now, Latulippe has become part of the family."He's just so much more than an officer," said Ginny Priest. "I'm just really grateful that someone who understood loss could help us through that situation, so he's really special to us.""His family has been through a lot in the last year, and we miss his dad very much," said Latulippe.He was once again there for the Priest family Monday, to not only welcome Tyler home, but to make sure everyone was being safe during this time of uncertainty."Everybody has driven by and has been responsible with it and trying to abide by the social distancing recommendations," said Latulippe."It's nice to be home," said Tyler Priest.He will now self-isolate for the next two weeks. 2579

University of Maryland's football coach and athletic director will keep their jobs after an investigation into the death of Jordan McNair, a 19-year-old offensive lineman who died of heatstroke two weeks after taking part in an offseason conditioning session.The announcement was made Tuesday by the University System of Maryland board of regents.Wallace D.
