After spending months in jail for violating probation, rapper Meek Mill could be released as soon as today after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered that he be granted bail.According to WTFX-TV in Philadelphia, the Supreme Court issued the order to the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia County to offer the rapper bail. A worldwide study of the coronavirus released in the journal Cell indicates that the dominant strand of COVID-19 is causing the virus to spread faster.But the study’s authors said that even though the coronavirus is able to spread faster, the virus is no more or less severe than earlier in the outbreak.The study’s authors indicate that the virus has mutated, and that the Spike protein amino acid D614G has become the virus’ dominant strand.“Our global tracking data show that the G614 variant in Spike has spread faster than D614. We interpret this to mean that the virus is likely to be more infectious,” study author Bette Korber of Los Alamos National Laboratory.The federal government’s leading infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci addressed concerns that the virus could be more contagious in an interview with The Journal of the American Medical Association on Thursday.“The data is showing there’s a single mutation that makes the virus be able to replicate better and maybe have high viral loads,” Dr. Fauci said. “We don’t have a connection to whether an individual does worse with this or not; it just seems that the virus replicates better and may be more transmissible.”Korbe explained in the study how the dominant strand of the virus differs from earlier variants.“In infected individuals G614 is associated with lower RTPCR cycle thresholds, suggestive of higher upper respiratory tract viral loads, although not with increased disease severity,” Korbe said. “These findings illuminate changes important for a mechanistic understanding of the virus, and support continuing surveillance of Spike mutations to aid in the development of immunological interventions.”To read the full study, click here. 1731

A White House official said President Donald Trump and his legal team are reevaluating whether Trump should sit down for an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller's team in light of the raid aimed at the President's personal attorney, Michael Cohen."The President has made no decision regarding the interview but anybody with common sense will see the attack on his lawyer as cause to reevaluate," the official said.The official added that the President's cooperation should be proportional to the courtesy he receives from the special counsel. ALPINE, Calif. (KGTV) - A charter bus collided with a tree near an East County school Friday, injuring students with shattered glass.The bus collided with a tree next to Joan MacQueen Middle School in Alpine just before 5 p.m. There were at least 43 children on the bus, according to California Highway Patrol officer Mary Bailey. Some of the students were injured by shattered glass.It's not clear how the bus crashed.10News is monitoring this story: 469

A woman who was shopping at Heinen's grocery store in Bay Village, Ohio on Friday walked out of the store to find that her car was missing.As it turns out, another woman accidentally took the car home, thinking it belonged to her.According to Bay Village police, the two white Lexus cars were parked next to each other in the parking lot. A 60-year-old woman walked out and took one of the cars, thinking it was hers. When the other woman came out to get in her car, she realized it was gone. Police said the woman had left the keys in her car when she parked.The 60-year-old woman realized she was in the wrong car when she got home and was unable to open her garage. The car was returned to its rightful owner. 745
