Harris County, Texas Sheriff's deputies in Houston were forced to shut down an ATM in Houston on Sunday night after a huge crowd had gathered to take advantage of the machine dispersing 0 bills instead of bills, the Houston Chronicle reported. Rather than trying to recoup its losses, Bank of America announced that it would not force those who were able to snag the 0 bills to repay. “This was an incident at a single ATM in Houston caused when a vendor incorrectly loaded 0 bills in place of bills,” Bank of America said in a statement to the Chronicle. “We have resolved the matter. Customers will be able to keep the additional money dispensed.”KPRC-TV said that the crowd converged on the Houston ATM Sunday night after a man posted on social media, boasting about the transaction. (AP) — Police in Alabama on Saturday were searching for a gunman whom they believe was responsible for shooting two teenagers at a shopping mall on Thanksgiving night.The incident began with a fight and shooting in suburban Birmingham at the Riverchase Galleria, a mall crowded with Black Friday bargain hunters. An 18-year-old was shot twice and a 12-year-old bystander was shot in the back.An officer responding to the scene then shot and killed 21-year-old Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford, Jr. of Hueytown. Police said Bradford was fleeing the scene and was brandishing a weapon.Police initially told reporters they thought Bradford had shot the teen after a fight but retracted that statement Friday night."New evidence now suggests that while Mr. Bradford may have been involved in some aspect of the altercation, he likely did not fire the rounds that injured the 18-year-old victim," Hoover Police Captain Gregg Rector said in a statement.Police said they "regret that our initial media release was not totally accurate."Rector said investigators now believe that more than two people were involved in the initial fight ahead of the shooting, and that "at least one gunman" is still at large who could be responsible for the shooting of an 18-year-old male and 12-year-old female.Video posted on social media by shoppers showed a chaotic scene as shoppers fled the mall, which closed for the remainder of Thursday night.The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has taken the lead role in the investigation since it is an officer-involved shooting.Hoover police asked for anyone with information, photos or video evidence of this crime scene to please contact investigators.A witness, Lexi Joiner, told Al.com she was shopping with her mother when the gunfire started. Joiner said she heard six or seven shots and was ordered, along with some other shoppers, into a supply closet for cover."It was terrifying," Joiner said.A woman who described herself as the mother of the injured 12-year-old posted on social media that the girl was on a Black Friday shopping trip with other family members when the shooting happened, and didn't immediately realize that the pain in her back was from a bullet."She was hurting a lot, but very brave and positive as always," the mother wrote after seeing the girl when she arrived at a hospital.Hoover police said Friday morning that the girl was in stable condition.The officer who shot the gunman was placed on administrative leave while the authorities investigate the shooting. Cooper originally planned to have two wedding dresses, one to wear during her ceremony and the other during her reception.After downsizing her wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she didn't think the wardrobe change would be appropriate and wanted the extra dress to go to a bride who could use some help.Cooper said she recently landed her dream job and feels blessed she has not faced many difficulties because of the pandemic."I just wanted to think of a way to give back to somebody that had been impacted," Cooper said. Hershey's chocolate is about to get more expensive.The candy company is planning to raise the prices of a fifth of its products by about 2.5%, Hershey reiterated on Thursday. GOLDEN, Colo. — A man who escaped from a Colorado Department of Corrections prison in Golden Tuesday morning has been captured. According to police, Sean Garcia, 27, was located and arrested in Denver. The escapee was taken into custody after authorities set a perimeter in the area. Garcia had escaped from the state prison facility by climbing a perimeter fence.Garcia is serving time for weapons and theft charges out of Rio Blanco County. His Parole eligibility date was in January, and his mandatory release date was Sep. 2 of this year, according to the DOC. Details as to how Garcia managed to escape the secure facility by climbing a fence have not been released.
