(KGTV) - More than 150 Coachella concert-goers had to face the music after fraudulently using disabled parking placards or parking spaces.Indio Police checked nearly 2,000 placards during the two-weekend run of Coachella Valley Music Festival. (WXYZ) — Nearly 100,000 children tested positive for COVID-19 in the last two weeks of July, according to a new report from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association.According to the report, 97,078 kids tested positive for coronavirus between July 16 and July 30, which is nearly 1/3 of the total confirmed cases of children in the U.S. since the beginning of the pandemic.The report found that around 338,000 children tested positive for coronavirus since the pandemic began. Over the last two weeks of July, the number of positive tests increased 40%.According to the report, the academy looked at state numbers that were considered children. The age ranges vary by state, and in Michigan, it includes anyone 19 and younger, but the state recently started reporting age groups 0-9 and 10-19. Safety protocols require masks in clubhouses and close proximity indoors, but not on the field. San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. has often sported a face mask during practices at Petco Park, among a handful of other players.The Friars have had two players test positive for COVID-19 since summer training camps resumed. Outfielder Tommy Pham has since recovered from the virus and rejoined the team. Recent trade pickup Jorge Mateo also tested positive during intake testing, but has yet to rejoin the squad ahead of the team's July 24 opener.According to the team, no Padres players have opted out of the season as of yet.Yankees outfielder Clint Frazier plans to wear one during games, in part to set an example for those watching on television. A baby has died after being snatched from his mother's lap by a monkey in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.Neighbors rushed to help after hearing the mother's screams on Monday afternoon in a village near Agra city, according to Agra Police Assistant Superintendent Abhishek, who goes only by his first name.The baby was just 12 days old."They threw stones at the monkey to force it to drop the baby but by the time he abandoned it, he had already attacked him severely on the face," Abhishek told CNN.The child's body was recovered from the terrace of an adjacent house.Police said his injuries indicate he was bitten on the face.Monkey attacks are common in India, especially in the country's capital New Delhi.In Central Delhi, government offices are surrounded by dozens of monkeys swinging from the trees or lounging in the sun on the sidewalk.According to the Delhi government, 268 cases of monkey bites were registered in the city in 2016.In 2018, the Indian government said it had approved a pilot project for immune-contraception to control the population of wild animals including monkeys in the city. 1129
