The service has also helped the eatery stay alive. In true holiday spirit, customers will see Santa and his Christmas elves deliver their food right to their car."If we could just dress up a little bit, and feel good about it, we can spread that positive energy in these tough times," says restaurant general manager Samantha Scholl.Scholl calls the last nine months devastating and an emotional roller coaster. She had to layoff close to 30 of her staff since March "We've had to pivot and change, and then we had to shut down and re-open. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Video shows a brutal fight outside a Pacific Beach bar and restaurant that sent a bouncer to the hospital with critical injuries. The assault happened at about 9:20 p.m. at the Firehouse, 722 Grand Ave., according to San Diego Police. Four men tried to get into the restaurant through a side entrance but the main bouncer told them to use the main door, officers said. One of the men picked up a metal crowd barrier stanchion pole and struck the bouncer over the head, said police. The bouncer suffered a skull fracture and brain bleed. Officers said he is currently in critical but stable condition in the hospital. After the pole strike, the three other men in the group began fighting with security staff members. One of the bouncers suffered a broken nose and the other two had bumps and bruises, police said. The man responsible for the pole attack is described as African-American, in his 30s, 6’0” tall, 250 pounds with a muscular build. He was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Two people spotted by police smashing a window at a Pacific Beach Wendy’s restaurant were arrested after leading officers on a chase.The incident unfolded at around 1:15 a.m. at the fast food restaurant on 1621 Grand Ave., according to San Diego police.Officers were in the area when they saw two people smash a window at the eatery. When police tried to make contact with them, they got into a pickup truck and drove away.The truck reached speeds of up to 100 MPH as it led police on a pursuit towards Interstate 8.Police’s ABLE helicopter helped ground units track the truck into the Midway District, and as the vehicle tried to make a left turn on Rosecrans Street, it crashed into the center divider.The truck then entered a nearby strip mall and came to a stop. The two occupants got out, but officers arrived and took them into custody.Police are trying to determine if the window smash was part of a burglary attempt or an act of vandalism. 975
